SOLDIERS SLEEPING 'NEATH THE SOD

Is there someone in your town, who lives just down the way,

And their son has been listed, killed in action --KIA

Have you ever stopped to tell them, how you thought of him today

Did you ever send a letter, maybe visit them to say

I remember your lost love one, in this particular way

You will find your memory sobering, while your heart begins to pray

And, your mind begins to realize, how their pain will always stay

Should we not at least be thoughtful, for their soldier who is gone

Wounded lives in turmoil daily, while our world moves steadily on

So, if your life is filled with roses, and you're thankful to your God

Take a moment to remember, soldiers sleeping 'neath the sod
