It was a week of mixed fortunes for Celtic's players representing their countries at France 98. While Craig Burley was scoring a fine equaliser against Norway Morten Weighorst was ordered from the pitch after being shown the softest of red cards. Weighorst said after the game Morten said "It is fair to say I feel harshly done by... It was my first foul in the game... There was no malicious intent on my part, and to my mind the referee had lost it out there today." The tackle from behind rule has been one of the poorest rules introduced in recent times, a yellow card should be sufficient in most cases.

Other news Alan Stubbs is AGAIN being linked with a move to England, this time to Everton and Tommy Svensson is emerging as favourite to replace Wim Jansen as head coach
