May 9th seems a very long way away now, the glory of the league championship was shattered yesterday on the rocks of European faliure. Celtic were completely outclassed by the Croatians, Prosinecki was masterful and for long periods of the game ran riot. Celtic lacked commitment and it appeared at times that the players strike and row over bonuses had left a deep scar in the morale of the bhoys. Celtic have at least the consolation of a place in the UEFA cup, however they will need to get their act together quickly if they are to avoid further faliure.
