Scott Howell's GBS (variant) NW Toppy, is a variation of the classic Toppy, originated by John Younger around 1837 for the Tweed River. Scott has subsituted some modern materials and changed some of the colors to mimic a suitable fly for Steelhead waters in the Northwest. His Classic version of the fly is closer to the original Toppy. See NW Toppy.

You can see more of Scott Howell's flies at The Flies of Scott Howell.
