Hook Size 6 to 3/0, Long Shank or tied tandem with two size 6 regular shank hooks
Tip Red Thread
Body Copper piping or tinsel
Wing From bottom: Blue bucktail, a few strands of red bucktail, green bucktail, and peacock herl. Can add a few strands of blue and green Flashabou and a few strands of crinkled silver mylar along sides (optional).
Throat White bucktail as long as the wing
Head Black with white eyes, black pupils

The pattern for this fly, came from the fine book by Bruce Ferguson, Les Johnson, and Pat Trotter, Fly Fishing for Pacific Salmon. They write that it was originated by by Greg Miheve, formerly of Tacoma, Washington.
