Hook Salmon Single Low Water # 4 ( Coloured Silver For Photo Clarity Only )
Body Apply Marabou Colour according to pattern name, ( In This case Pink 'N'Red ). Attach Long Marabou along hook shank using Pink Fluo Floss, stopping at hook bend. Remove hook from vice and turn opposite direction, continue applying floss on the Marabou for about 'inch ( wet marabou first ). Attach strand of Mylar Tinsel at end of the extention that you have made, wind as ribbing and tie off on hook shank. Remove hook and turn correct way on vice. Now tie on Antron Body Wool (Fluo Pink) and build to 'Guppy 'shape (Fat Belly). Tie off and cut, then apply a thin coat of Clear Epoxy all over the body. When dry apply White Hammerite paint to underside of body only. Allow to dry. Attach Veniard Fish Hawk Eyes (These are Stick On). Use Permanent Ink Marker Pens to draw on Red and Black Lines on Body. Now, apply another thin coat of Clear Epoxy Glue all over Body including eyes, taking care when building the body with the Antron Body Wool and shaping the 'Guppy'to leave room near the hook eye. Finally, apply (Fluo Pink Marabou) for the wing and build small head with same colour floss.
Comments Many colour combinations can be made and experimented with. See also Leons_Orange_N_Red_Guppy and Leons_Green_N_White_Guppy. Casts and Sinks very well

This pattern, which might be called a lure by many, is none-the-less, an amazing creation. It was originated and tied by Leon Guthrie of Galashiels, Scotland. Leon's original flies are unique, not only for their realistism, but for their originality, and Leon has had great success with them See more Leon Guthrie originals at The Flies of Leon Guthrie.
