Woodward Alevin

Making the Pouch For Leon's Alevin Patterns

Take a piece of Lureflash Booby Net or white panty-hose material. Pinch a doubled over piece of material with your fingers and stretch out material. Secure this in your fly tying vice.

If the pouch is the correct size for your fly, tie thread around the pouch, securing it. Remove from the vice and cut material straight along above where you tied the thread. Leave enough material as tags to secure it on the hook shank. Tie one tag first and turn pouch under hook shank in correct position. Secure the other pouch tag. Super glue thread.
