101. INTRO:
The NCO Aide Memoire is a guide for the NCOs of 692 Air Canada RCACS. This Aide Memoire is to be used to maintain a high NCO standard of personal deportment, drill, leadership and esprit-de-corps.
102. NOTES:
- 1. In this Aide Memoire, "shall", "will", "is", "are", and "must", are to be construed as imperative, and "may", as permissive.
- 2. The term "officer", includes all personnel holding a commissioned rank. The term "NCO", includes all personnel from the rank of Corporal, to the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. The term "Cadet", includes all personnel from the rank of Air Cadet, to the rank of Leading Air Cadet. The term "Recruit", includes all personnel that have not entered the level one training, and is a member of a Recruit flight.
103. AIM:
The aim of this publication is to contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of 692 Air Canada RCACS, by maintaining high standards of personal deportment, drill, leadership and esprit-de-corps.
104. GENERAL:
- 1. NCOs must familiarize themselves with the 201 Manual of Drill and Ceremonial.
- 2. NCOs must familiarize themselves with Performance Objective 408 (leadership) level two through four.
- 3. NCOs must familiarize themselves with the Level One Handbook.
- 4. NCOs must familiarize themselves with the Squadron Standing Orders, and be aware of their regular SQN duties.
- 5. NCOs must familiarize themselves with the Squadron Fire Orders.
- 6. NCOs must maintain a high standard of personal deportment.
- 7. NCOs must maintain a high standard of drill.
- 8. NCOs must maintain a high standard of leadership.
- 9. All NCOs will always attempt to maintain the highest possible level of esprit-de-corps, despite rank, position, or the current situation.
- 10. If an NCO is ever unsure of his/her duties he/she must ask a superior, and be informed as to his/her duties or tasks.
- 11. All NCOs must have their copy of the "NCO Aide Memoire", every Thursday. All NCOs must have a clip board (or an appropriate substitute), with paper and a pen at all times. It is suggested that all NCOs attach the Aide Memoire to their clip board (or appropriate substitute).
