Not recommended, obsolete: The closing tracks of the December 17 concert have somic damage not present on the master recording. This boot also shows signs of heavy-handed sound processing, reducing the warmth of the original recording. An off-master fan project, rated by Lossless Bob as excellent sound quality without serious defects, was circulated by bittorrent in 2007.
DEEP: Dylan's last show of the year proved to be one of the
highlights. An exceptionally strong and energetic vocal
performance, with Dylan attacking every song. The backing is no
less impressive, especially the strong guitar work by JJ. Sound
here is excellent, crisp and clean and well balanced, with Dylan's
vocals upfront, loud and clear (some may find the sound a bit high
end biased but a bit of the eq helps even things out). A great,
great show captured extremely well by the Edgers. A nice selection
from the previous night puts this one over the top.
ISIS: Philadelphia was the night it really came together.
Recording quality is excellent; the bonus tracks are well chosen,
rounding out a superb disc.
CDG: High-quality recording of a great performance, with
excellent filler.
