Well, that telephone interview never happened! I emailed the woman, who suggested Tuesday (uh...holiday?). I said Monday. She then realized that she had Monday off and Tuesday was a holiday. Hello! So she said that I should give her my number, so she could call me. We all know that it's very unprofessional to use work stuff for personal use, albeit it interviewing for another job (tho it would not interfere with this current one). I just said, forget it! Let's do it Wednesday....in not so many words. Let's wait and see how it goes.

Not much happened last week..except for Fat Cat Friday!

Friday was an easy day at work, people left early for this-or-that. I was left reading my book, which I've been reading for way too long. I suppose I'll set a goal to read a book every two weeks or so.

So when I got off work, Lar was signing us up for DSL. Only $20/mo! We got really far into the registration until they asked us about our ISP. We told them it was thru the University, but they didn't "do" that, so then we'd "have" to purchase a new ISP. Now, how much would that be? Another $20. Um, no thanks. That sucked though, we had wanted to sign up for a month now. *pout*

I dragged Lar out of the apartment and because of him, we missed our bus. Just as we were rounding the corner! He's made me miss the bus twice! Argh. The next one didn't come until 20mins later, so we were that much later in meeting my sister. She wanted to see this Fat Cat as well.

No matta. She was in Nine West buying some shoes. *L* So we rushed to the store; I wasn't sure when it closed, but it was probably soon. On the way, as we were passing the market..some homeless woman fell right in front of me! She fell quite hard, half on the curb and the other on the street.

There was a crowd of course. And I know it was bad of me, but I kept going. As I passed her, I saw that she was messed up on something, and she looked like shit. She was also making some weird noise that freaked me out. Betty and I continued but Lar stayed behind, which I knew he'd do.

So we arrived at the store, which was gonna close in 20mins. I realized that there were two styles: sitting and laying. I thoroughly messed up all the cat displays in the store. I ended up getting the laying down one cuz he looked the fattest. B made a purchase before me so I sent her outside to look for Larry.

We found him wandering in the closed market. The boy forgot where the store was! B bought us humbow and we went home. Lar told me what happened after we left.

He flagged someone down with a phone and they used it to call an ambulance. It came quickly, they did something for her to make her okay. And, as Betty noticed, she was back under the One Way sign with a cup. :P Since he was so close to her, he noticed that one of her eyes were weird..like some milky cover and she was just generally freaky. So I'm glad I didn't stick around...selfish I know.

I ended up falling asleep early at 10pm. I was "only taking a nap" but of course I refused to wake up. That's okay because I woke up early on Saturday.

We had plans to catch the noon showing of "The Patriot" and have breakfast at Patti's Eggnest. So we had to get going early! We shared a plate because there was too much food when we went last time. It was an extra dollar..but for what? I thought there would be extra hashbrowns and/or toast. But it was the exact same plate and *I* had to do the split myself! They had brought out an extra plate with a large spatula, which I used to cut the omlette. I was quite unhappy with that, and so next time we'll just starve ourselves for an omlette for each.

We were early for the movie so I bought us expensive cookys at some little food counter. They were good though. The movie was fine. Three hours long and basically an American "Braveheart." Very cliche, very Mel Gibson-esque, very gory. But I guess it was fine. Good for matinee prices.

Afterward, we went to Guitar CenterS to look for Lar's guitar, since they were having a sale. Not so, the sale was only on SELECT guitars, not all like their ads say. And if he was gonna spend that much he should get the color he wants. Then we hit a Burger King so I could collect some more "Chicken Run" toys, and off to Target.

Later that evening, B invited me for calazones with Todd and Joanna. It was fun. We played Pictionary and I was old enough to drink with them, if I wanted. But I didn't. I'm not much of a drinker I guess.

On Sunday we had lunch at China First. I was reluctant to go since I was there last weekend with Michelle, and also Friday for lunch. How embarrassing! Ah well! On the way there, some girl asked us for money. We were nice and said, "No," we had no money for her. She responded with: I hope your generosity pays off for you in the future! We kept on going and I asked if that was meant as a jab or something. Whatever beeyotch! You can freakin' work for money cuz I do too!

We were going back home when we saw Jason standing outside The Pearl. Lar gave him a whap as we walked past. I don't think he knew that it was us, so I was amused by the situation. I had eye contact with the guy he was standing with, and I'm sure he didn't know what was going on either. *LOL* The same girl from before was still asking for money and asked us again as we walked by her. Lar told her: You already asked us that! She was caught off-guard and instead of telling us her "jab" she told us to "have a nice day!" HA HA HAHAHAHAA.

We went to another music store to look at guitars. We decided on a Hohner and were getting it the next day, since we didn't bring a case. Went to Ross, but didn't want anything badly enough to wait 40mins in line....Then we rented a bunch of movies, where I saw Jason and that same fella again! *L*

Monday was an easy day at work! Only three other people were there. But I had steady work to do so it was fine. Lar got off HIS work early and came to get me which was nice! After work, we went to his bank, and then to get his guitar. Then home! I took a short nap that was actually a nap and I'm feeling good. He got us KFC for dinner, we watched "The Goonies" and now I'm online.

Nothing planned for today. Who knows. I think we'll try "Dazed and Confused" again. We started it but it just didn't seem to work for us then. Who knows.

I'm going home this weekend by myself. It should be fun. Jen's free...I think Annie mentioned Rebekah was too. Lalala. It'll be nice.

Annie's working at the Social Work library upstairs from me. It'll be nice to have someone to visit when I'm working. And I go upstairs a LOT. :)

Somehow Lar erased all our bookmarks, so now I can't seem to find stuff to keep me occupied online....However, thank god for Backflip, I have my bookmarks uploaded to an online page and so I'm spared!

Last old entry was June 29, 2000.
