From it's inception on July 4, 2001, the Great West Texas Militia has been a part of the franchised militia system known as "Militia's Inc." We were founded by Gen. Hiram P. Gooberman from Seattle, WA. He has since returned to Seattle and will continue the day to day oversight of the GWTM.
We have moved our base of operations from Big Spring to Midland/Odessa. We feel the larger population base will help us grow and serve West Texas. We pledge to always maintain our HQ in the Permian Basin though, and our area of operation still includes all parts of Texas east of San Antonio to the Mexican and Arizona borders.
