Premise: Two teams of three members try to provide answers to list questions and surveys, and hope to not be knocked out of the game.

Rules: The game starts with Bill reading a question with seven to ten answers: "Name the ten largest lakes that are in or border on America." Sometimes the question can be a survey "We asked Americans, who do you think is the funniest person in America?" The champions begin with control. The first player on the team may either give an answer or challenge an opponent to. If an answer is on the list, the next player down the line gets control. If incorrect, that player is banished to the moving bench behind the team, and is out of the remainder of the question. The opposing team then gets control.

Instead of giving an answer, the player in control can challenge an opponent to give an answer. A right answer means that team steals control of the question, and the challenging player is sent to the bench for a failed challenge. If the answer is wrong, or no answer is given in time, the challenged player is out instead, and the challenging team retains control.

After the fifth acceptable answer had been given, Bill would recap the correct answers given, until then, it was up to the players to remember what was on the list, and what wrong answers had been said.

WINNING: When the seventh acceptable answer has been given, that team wins the round, and $500. A team that loses all its members due to wrong answers and challenges loses the round also. Two rounds and $1000 wins the match.

Seven Straight: If a team can come up with all seven answers without challenging or giving a wrong answer, they get the Seven Straight Jackpot, which begins at $2500, and adds $500 per day it is not won.

Bonus Game: The team must successfully answer five questions to win their jackpot. The team plays questions from one category, (eg "Which is more?") and each question has two choices ("Which is more, the number of stars on the US flag, or stripes?"). A correct answer wins $500, but an incorrect answer forfeits the money won in the bonus round, and ends the bonus game. The team may quit at any time, and may pass on one question. After deciding to play on, the team must decide to pass or play. Five right answers wins the jackpot which starts at $5,000, and $5,000 was added each time the team failed to win the big money. If a new team went to the bonus, they started back at $5,000.

Teams played until they were defeated (or won ten matches, this didn't happen), and the "Accountants" team won the most money in "Hot Potato's" short history, dividing $40,000.
