The Day the World Turned
------------------------------------------------
When the morn is like the night
When the moon hath lost its light
Tis the day the world hath turned its back on me.
When the moon is dull and grey
When December is the same as May
Tis the day the world hath turned its back on me.
When pepper's white and salt is black
When up is down and front is back
Tis the day the world hath turned its back on me.
When hearts are put to creating tortures
And thieves are celebrated as well as forgers
Tis the day the world hath turned its back on me.
But when eyes are opened and lovers seized
And smiles abound and people are pleased
Tis the day the world hath opened its arms to me.
