Remembrance

Like a name in a textbook
Or a simple, "Hey, do you remember?"
I want to be known
To the future
Or as an improvement
To the past
The world should remember
Whitney the Great
A future ballerina
Teacher
Actress
Scientist
Or something less glamorous
A daughter
Sister
Friend
Confidante.
I want my place in history
I want it a lot
My biggest fear is
Being forgotten.
