A watercolor house
A sky of the purest blue.
A man, with plastic hair and
Unwrinkled clothes,
Working 9 to 5 and stopping
On his way home
To buy me flowers from the stand
Owned by the kind old couple and their
Golden Retriver.
2.5 kids
With their share of spats, that inevitably end in
Kodak-moment clasps.
A dog named Spot
A white picket fence
This is what I want
The so-called American Dream.
