Dusty B's Pix

Welcome to the Photo Gallery!

AUGUST 1999 - Here's just the beginning of all the awesome pics we brought back from the Creation West '99 festival at the Gorge at George, Washington. We met some of the 18,000 festival-goers during our 3-days (attendance beating last year's count of 15,000!) Have some pics YOU took at the festival? Email them our way!

BURLAP TO CASHMERE

The boys stopped-by to talk with CHASING FURIES as DB (in the glow-in-the-day Orange KCNC T-shirt) sets-up for an interview

CAEDMON'S CALL

Posing for a quick pick with Listener RACHEL (In the middle, in the shades) at their merch booth.

Did you hear CLIFF (In the BEATLES shirt) sing that icky N-SYNC song during the soundcheck? I told Rebecca (her pic is below) that if you sing it to God, it could be a praise song -- "You are my fire, my one desire" (Yeah, I know it's a stretch...)

WE STILL HAVE ALL OUR TEETH!

Listeners LAUREN and RACHEL, with DB in "the pit" during the NEWSBOYS' set at the last night of CREATION WEST '99

NIKKI LEONTI belts-out a hit during her afternoon set.

Long-haired Guitar Player dude also played with MICHAEL W SMITH that evening.

Not as warm this year with the sun sizzling only into the low 90s.

OFFICIAL KCNC PRONUNCIATION GUIDE:

JACI VELASQUEZ:
"vuhl-ASK-ez" in English
"bel-AHS-kes" in Spanish

(She's an awesome artist and it kills me to hear people butcher her name!)

The WAITING

Probably waiting for DB to get his gear ready for the interview, outside the Press Tent near the Main Stage.

SHADED RED are seated while AVALON enters the Media Tent.

Check-out the GORGE just over the fence behind us!

AVALON actually interrupted our interview with SHADED RED to tease each other about the names of the bands.

Check back on the web page to hear some interview bites from Creation West '99!

AVALON

Live on the Main Stage during their afternoon set.

The wind kicked-up so much Saturday afternoon that we had to pack-up our station's promotion booth before we flew away!

REBECCA ST. JAMES

She's not only an incredibly talented performer, but her speaking is something you just HAVE to catch sometime!

Sincere, straight from the heart -- She really relates to us "young people," and finds a way to deliver her message to us with love and encouragement, not just by "preaching" in a judgemental or threataning kind of way.
