Ronin Warriors / Yoriden Samurai Troopers
Yoriden Samurai Troopers, also known as Ronin Warriors in the US, is a 39-episode anime series
that was first briefly shown in 1995 on US television, and
then briefly shown again on the Sci-Fi channel. Last I heard, it was showing during Toonami on the Cartoon Network. Its a story about
5 armored young men who armor up and fight against the
forces of evil. The story of
Samurai Troopers details the exploits of five young men who
were chosen to wield five sets of mystic armor. The
troopers must use the power of their armor to fight
the demon lord Talpa (Arago in the Japanese version),
who intends to conquer Earth. Talpa had made a
previous attempt centuries before but had failed,
mostly due to the intervention of the warrior-monk Kaos.
It is with the help of this monk that the Samurai
Troopers receive the armor to carry on the fight in
contemporary Japan. Click here to learn more about

I don't know how much I'd like this series now, but I first saw it 3 years ago when I was still 12. I don't particularly remember much of it, but it was one of the first anime series that I had seen, so I really loved it. But then, from the reviews I've seen, this is definately a shojo-only anime series. The guys I know complain about too much boring character development as well a lousy plot.

Story Line: OK. I'm not so sure now, 'cause Ronin Warriors was one of the first anime that I watched, and it had a really good first impression on me.
Violence: Not much.
Genre: Fighting.
Total Rating: 10/10 when I first watched it. probably 7/10 now.
