Dragonball

Dragonball, Dragonball GT and Dragonball Z are series about the fighter Goku and his friends who look for balls called Dragonballs; when Goku accumulates 7 of these balls, he can have some wishes granted. Dragonball is about Goku when he is a child growing up, and Dragonball Z is about when he's already grown up. After that, Dragonball GT is about the next generation including Vegeta's son Trunks and his exploits. A censored version of the show is aired on the Cartoon Channel, and an uncensored version is shown on the International Channel in raw Japanese.

OK, my review has changed somewhat -- I used to think it was a completely pointless stupid show with no plot about a bunch of much-too-muscular people fighting to get a bunch of balls so their wishes can be fulfilled. But -- I looked a little more into the series, specifically the original Japanese version, and as far as I can tell, its not that bad. Thanks to Too Big, I now see my error in judging a series solely by the American version. Most of the cool scenes were cut out of the American version because they were deemed to be "too violent," thereby leaving barely anything interesting in the show at all. Anyways, here's a nice page all about some of the stuff cut out from the American version. Some other cool and informative pages, as Too Big pointed out, are: VegettoEX's Homepage and Planet Namek .
