Sorcerer (Bakuretsu) Hunters

In Spooner Continent where evil sorcerers ravage the land, a group of warriors called the Sorcerer Hunters bravely fight against the forces of evil. They obey the instructions of their kind boss, who happens to be named Big Mama. At the head of the group is Carrot, a major hentai who just can't stop chasing every girl he sees. Whenever magic is used on Carrot, he turns into a huge monster that can only be tamed by the wire and whip-bearing sisters: Chocolate and Tira Misu. Of course, there's also the body-builder Gateau who relies mainly on his muscles and has a bit too big of an ego. It seems like Carrot's younger brother Marron, who, although somewhat quiet and effeminate, seems to be the only normal person in the group.

Wow! I loved this series! Its a great blend of action and comedy, as well as the occasional tragedy and drama. All of the characters are round and well-developped, thereby making the series more interesting and enjoyable to watch. Sorcerer Hunters spans 26 TV episodes, 3 OAVs, and a 13-volume manga series. Plus, the TV opening song rocks (of course, all of Megumi Hayashibara's songs rock)! Currently, ADV has begun releasing the Spell Wars story arc, and the manga is being translated into English in the magazine Tokyo Pop. You can order the first volume of the manga at Tokyo Pop's website. I'm currently writing manga summaries for the series. The summaries are very detailed, so beware of spoilers!
