by David Freeman

Containing discussion of ongoing projects, resume, writing samples of published and unpublished work including a book excerpt, and contact information.

This site embodies some of my current thinking on design, layout, style sheets, and organization of web sites and electronic documents as information interfaces.

Design Issues

Even though the "big pipe" of broadband is more available, two things seem clear to me: Many netwatchers have noticed that people really want information rather than fancy graphics, and heavy graphics are apparently becoming less fashionable at a time when database driven and wireless access web sites, ecommerce, and world-wide connectivity are now part of the mix. Here are some more thoughts on design issues.
