You may think that they're absolutly flawless, but believe it or not, the Backstreet Boys, like everyone else, wish they could change some aspect of their lives!
Did you ever widh you ould lose some weight, or be a different height, or develop bettre study habits? Well, next time you do, just remember that Nick, Howie, Kevin, AJ and Brian have had the same yearnings for change. When STARZ! sat downwith the hot fivesome for a exculsive interview, the guys dished all sorts of deep dark secrets, the first of which was what they would like to change about themselves.
We aked the blond megababe Nick what he thought, ans since he was first, he had to think a while. Finally he came up with a short but very honest answer. "One thing I would change about myself... I'd probably say um, (sighs) I don't know.. probably like just to start eating better" It is so true, when a band is out on the road, many people don't know how difficult it to find food that tastes good, and is at the same time healthy... it's hard enough to do this at home, but on the road, impossible!
Brian's reponse was bot too surprising; his true fans know what bugs this guy. "I would probably change my height. I've always wanted to be taller" As tall as Shaquill O'Neal, STARZ! inquires? "No, no, no, no not at all... that's the extreme, I wouldn't even want to be six feet, probably five feet, ten inches." Why does Brian get so bothered about his height? "It's because I'm very athletic and I think a lot of times it's not really based on your talent, it's based on your height. It's always been something that's kind of held me back, I think." (Brian tired out his high school basketball team every year, but was always cut; finally in his second-to-last year, he realized that he could play basketball as well as everybody else on the team, and he could sing better than all of them!)
Thoughtful Howie gave us a different sort of answer, but one that most people can sympathize with. "I wouldn't mind changing (the fact that ) I have, sometimes, a little bit of a problem being indecicive, I'd say. Sometimes, I get myself into situatiions whether it's decisions to go with one group of people , (and) i make myself confused, because i try weighing out the pros and cons of both, and asking people constantly, and getting so many different opinions that i get myself confused and i don't know exsactly which way to turn," he stated in one breath, " So i guess I'd like to be just a little more secure in making my own decisions."
Always having to think of somethng unique, when asked, AJ quickly replied, "This is odd-- but my nose. I don't think that I would actually ever change it , but it's something I've always thought about, like whnen I look at myself from side view, or when I see pictures of me at certian angel..." It's a good thing he doesn't want to actually change it, because his fans love his nose!
Kevin chose a more conservative response. He confided, "I want to start trying to organize my time better. I've been doing pretty good with it, but lately it's been getting a little out of control. I'd like to take care of my personal things" Perhaps he has an alternate motive for this, too? "I have a lot of song ideas that I start and I don't finish," he confieds, "That's one of my New Years Resolutions!"
