Jedi Master Mathieson wears a black handled lightsaber on his left hip which he wields with his left hand, though sometimes both. His lightsaber has a somewhat shorter handle than the standard lightsaber and there is a strange spiral type groove around the base.

He carries other weapons about his person, including a similar lightsaber and a light blaster. These weapons are concealed beneath his robes and cannot be detected with even a careful observation.

He uses the Force power, "Emptiness" at all times. This power drains the presence of the Force from around him, hiding his powers from those capable of searching. His garb points at him as a Jedi, but only if the onlooker is familiar with Jedis........

Jedi Mathieson was trained since the age of 6 to be a Guardian of Peace in the galaxy. At the age of 18 he took the Trials and became a Jedi Knight, long after his mentor had considered and proved him ready to the Council. Colleagues with Qui Gonn Jinn for a short time, they shared a kindred spirit of defiance to the Council if they believed themselves to be right. "Laws are there to be respected and followed, not obeyed." he said to the Council on one occassion.

After lifting the siege of Curan, at the age of 27, he was officially recognised as Jedi Master. Five years later he was called to join the Council (not a request), but in an unprecedented action, he refused....

The Council fell into conflict over what should be done, lasting several days. Finally they ruled, under Master Yoda, that he would never again be called to the Council and was sent into a 20 year exile as penance.

During this exile he changed his robes from the Jedi brown to black. Whilst few believe this to be of any significance, those on the Jedi Council recognise this as showing that the bearer as an exiled Jedi for disobeying the Council. Black is worn to show that the 'crime' whilst not of particular consequence to the outside worls was considerabley important to the Jedi and the Jedi Council.

In his exile he has wandered, exploring and aiding those he can. As his exile draws to a close, he has come upon some habitations that could do with his help.........

Philosophy: He knows that good is within everyone, as is the ability to do Evil. He is a Jedi Knight, and will not enter conflict unless absolutely necessary, and the same with his powers, he will not use his powers unless he absolutely must.
