"Using the right
accessory enhances the experience of preparing, serving and

Seeing wine gifts as a growing sector, Asia Act concentrates on
developing a new range of wine and spirit accessories including
corkscrews, stoppers, wine coolers, wine charms and wine gift
sets. Its products sell well in the US, France, Spain, the UK,
Australia and Japan.
One of Asia Act trademarks is "Simpull", a series of
professional lever pull corkscrews for uncorking a bottle of wine
of all sizes and types in seconds. Made from die-cast zinc alloy,
it features a sturdy construction, enabling users to remove the
cork effortlessly. "Simply by pulling the lever in one simple
motion, it will easily remove the cork without a slip or
crumble," he said. Available in a broad range of finishes,
such as shiny, satin and rubberized, each model of the series
comes with a foil cutter and spiral. Mr Wong added, Teflon-coated
spiral is possible for easier and smoother removal.
Asia Act also produces waiter's friend corkscrews.
"Traditional waiter's friend corkscrews are in fact the most
convenient and user-friendly," he stated. Made of smooth
tempered steel, Asia Act's waiter's friend corkscrews feature the
gorgeous wood or ABS handles in assorted colours. Contoured and
curved, the handles are a blend of functionality and aesthetics,
enabling users to hold and use them easily. For greater ease, the
5-turn spiral can be Teflon-coated or grooved to improve the
corks' penetration and extraction powers.
Variety is another strength of Asia Act; both electrical and
gas-operated corkscrews are offered.
Due to the stiff market competition especially from Mainland China
manufacturers, who generally offer lower prices, Asia Act decided
to maintain its edge through paying particular attention to small
details for higher quality. "For instance, we found that
American Teflon is preferable to Taiwanese Teflon as American
Teflon offers a quieter cork pulling. That gives us an edge to win
orders from high-end markets," said he.
The company undertakes both OEM and ODM projects in addition to
offering self-developed designs. Generally speaking, it requires a
minimum order quantity of 1,000 pieces for "Simpull"
series and 2,000 pieces for other wine accessories. The FOB prices
are negotiable. Delivery normally takes 25 days after receipt of
