Help a Friend in Need

As experienced professionals in the animal care field (veterinary technicians, animal control officers, behaviour trainers and more) we understand the needs of abandoned animals and want to do more to ensure they find happy healthy homes. Do you realize how many animals are abandoned each and every day?

We hope to place some of our friends in need in programs to help troubled youth. Inmates in correctional facilities are allowed to work closely with dogs, assisting in basic training and care for their animals. In the USA, this program has successfully helped train guide dogs, retired greyhounds and homesless pets. It also helps to teach troubled individuals a sense of responsibility and success. Some participants have even elected to use this experience to begin a career in the field of animal care after release from the correctional facility.

After our dogs undergo training at a foster home, we hope that they will be well suited for a loving family. Many of our dogs are fostered with children and other animals, so we have a good idea of how well our dogs adapt to different environments. We think it is important to assess these dogs in homes rather than cages in a shelter environment. We hope this will increase their chances for placement and long term commitment from the families who adopt them.

New dogs will be added to this site often. Be sure to visit often to see what new dogs are available. We are happy to accept any assistance from caring individuals who wish to assist in our initiatives.
