Bringing the
magic of theatre to the children of the NRV
After school & evening Drama Classes
for children in Grades 2 – 8.
Students learn all aspects of theatre – from choosing a script to final
set strike and everything in between! We focus on acting, stage
management, make-up, set design…I could go on and on but I’m sure you get the
idea.
Previous HaeBo Academy productions
include Raggedy Ann & Andy,
Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs,
The Lion, the Witch & the
Wardrobe, Sherlock
Holmes, A Connecticut
Yankee in King Arthur’s Court & The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
Classes begin meeting next week (Sept 13)
& space is limited so register TODAY!
Class Times:
- Class #1
– Tuesdays 4:00 – 5:30 pm – Blacksburg
- Class #2
– Tuesdays 6:30 –
8:00 pm – Blacksburg
- Class #3
– Wednesdays 4:00 –
5:30 pm – Christiansburg
- Class #4
– Wednesdays 6:30 –
8:00 pm – Christiansburg
Classes meet once a week until
the third week of January 2006.
The above outlined schedule is tentative
& could change based on registration but all registered students &
their parents would be notified if a change was necessary.
Location: Exact locations for classes are yet to be
determined but will be on the MCPS school bus routes so that students can
ride the bus from school for the after school classes
Tuition: $60 per month (receive a 15% discount
if full tuition for the semester is prepaid) Scholarships are
available!!! Multiple children discounts are also available.

magic of theatre!

 HaeBo
Academy is the division of HaeBo Productions that offers intense afterschool and evening drama lessons and workshops.
HaeBo Academy began in 1997 after the SME production of
The Wizard of Oz that HaeBo’s Executive Director,
Tonya Bowyer, directed. After having
hundreds of children arrive at auditions and casting 57 munckins
and Ozians, Tonya knew that there was a desire in
the New River Valley for theatrical outlets for children and adults
alike!

Alongside our work with
the children of HaeBo Academy we also produce shows that are strictly
community theatre based. This allows
us to reach all segments of the population and provide both theatrical
education and experiences to everyone!
