some GREAT songs from this glam popster in the style of STEVE HARLEY and BOWIE, he had an lp in ' 75, and we believe his 2nd did not come along till ' 86, these songs are so good we bet the lp is an overlooked masterpiece
' WHAT DO U WANT WITH MY SWEETHEART ' ' 75
this one has a strong COCKNEY REBEL influence , maybe a bit of SPARKS as well, it's a unique composition with synths, and was the single from his lp of ' 75.....' WHAT DO U WANT WITH MY SWEETHEART , HELD HER TIGHT IN THE NIGHT, REARRANGING ALL OF HER THOUGHTS, STEAL HER LIFE ALWAYS ME, NEVER HAD TO SEE YOUR WIFE, AND WHAT HAS HE GOT ALL OF THE TIME, HE's FILLED HER MIND WITH HURRICANE THOUGHT ( background singers 'YEA, YEA, YEA' )...........and.......' HE's GOT TEENAGE GAME, HE's GOT ROSE ( ? ) TOO'
' FLAMBOYANT FREAK ' 76
EXCELLENT single,this song is even BETTER than the above, it is now considered a rare single and is worth about 2000 dollars today, campy acoustic number with synths, offbeat like the first song here, again in the style of COCKNEY REBEL........' ZEE AHH, ZEE AHH, YOUR A QUEEN NOTICE THAT ( ? ) WITH A HURRICANE PIE, YOUR THE MICK OF THE PICK, ROSIE CHEEKS.......and......' YOUR A KING WITH A DING, SPACE AGE WOMAN YOUR A CLOWN WIH A GOWN '......this is a songthat will stick in your had for a long time to come .....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.........* if u like GRAME GRACE then u should seek out the single by VILLIAN ( see below )...
VILLIAN 45, considered rare today
VILLIAN 'PHOTOGRAPH '75
sophisticated pop with violin, very similiar to STEVE HARLEY and COCKNEY REBEL....GREAT song ! good vocals, with a girl whispering throughout the song words like 'i love u' who sounds like LYNSEY de PAUL......'U CAME IN THRU THE WINDOW LAST NIGHT, I DIDN'T SAY A WORD '.....and....'PHOTOGRAPH, LET ME TAKE YOUR PHOTOGRAPH'...if u like GRAME GRACE you'll like this single....
STEVE HARLEY and COCKNEY REBEL
both these artists above were influenced by COCKNEY REBEL, naturally HARLEY and co. were much more successful,
now here's some stupid quotes ;
Where's my jacket? I've looked everywhere! Under the bed, over my chair, on the stairs, on the hall floor, in the kitchen. It's just not anywhere....Oh HERE it is! Who put it in the stupid closet!? --Calvin (from Bill Watterson, Calvin and Hobbes)
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. --Albert Einstein
In the spring I asked the daisies If his words were true, And the clever, clear-eyed daisies Always knew. Now the fields are brown and barren, Bitter autumn blows, And of all the stupid asters Not one knows. --Sara Teasdale
Only the wisest and stupidest of men never change. --Confucius
