virginia tech steam tunnels

This was a trip the Conglomerate took from Agnew to the academic side of campus. The camera was accidentally switched to panoramic, thus the strange sized photos.

130 am departure to Agnew run. Quick drop and move out. Didnt take too much time to smell the roses, but made sure to leave the cube2000 stencil tag all over........lots of new workman supplies under the drill field part, fuses, bulbs, rolls of wire, etc...we found main Davidson Power switches that were recently installed and control main power supply to Chem building, Robeson basement is unlocked and easily accessible...found the door to Burrus, it's locked up tight, but there are tags on the other side, so I bet that the Randolph connector links McBryde to Burruss, If you take ladder down to the derring run, you'll see asbestos still exists in the lower-level but as long as you dont disturb it, you'll be fine...we noticed a tag of "golf 2000"...great, some wanker golfers are down here too.... many other crews: "Hardcore 4" (1983) use the DC Hardcore logo, some unreadable round logo, Thomas Tunnelers (1977), Lost Boys (198?), Skull and X Bones (1983), West AJ Tunnel Rats (1997), etc etc...lower Derring run ends with a gate to what we assumed was the Derring basement.... We came back up to the main run, oriented the large manhole cover next to Cowgill, the end of the Agnew run takes a sharp right behind Cowgill, and the tunnel becomes insanely tight...not worth it for a few hundred feet....definitely one of the best runs, since there is a lot of room, and it mostly well lit, lots of ladders and stairs, you can see at least 6 basements on the run, and there is a lot of heritage spraypainted around...we bailed at 330am, ended up leaving a can of paint under a pipe right by the Agnew exit, since I didnt want to be rattling, so if you need some paint...enjoy, but please use a stencil, it looks better...
