Visit the Desert of Nevada!

Nevada, the desert place that once was sand, but now is a place of pleasure for seekers of riches, a place where couples tie the knots, and the climbers pace the volcanic mountains in the panaroma of scenic desert land, filled with the awesome cloud of mystery.

Just beyond the outskirt from Nevada, in Northern Arizona, stands the Grand Canyon, one of the wonders of the natural world, a sight not to be missed. Fly over by jet plane or helicopter and then go on a land tour to see the great canyon of America, which boast of volcanic mines, as well as being a national park and a forest reserve.

Not too far distant away is another place not to be missed, the Hoover Dam, one of the seven wonders of the engineering/modern world. It is the fact of its early architecture expertize in the 1930s that make its name of being a wonder of the world.

Nevada is also known for its conventional meetings throughout the year, as well as a place for riches seekers in the many casinos of Las Vegas.

In Las Vegas, gambling is usual and wedding chapels are plentiful. Almost at every corner of the street, in every hotel, is a wedding chapel. It is said that Las Vegas is a paradize to tie the knots. Accomodation in Las Vegas is plentiful, and depending on preference and budget, you can say at the Strip, or downtown.

Those on the Strip includes Aladdin Hotel, Desert Inn, Flamingo Hilton, Caesar's Palace, Bally's, Mirage, Treasure Island, Tropicana, MGM, Excalibur, Monte Carlo, Luxor, New York New York, and many others. For those who prefer downtown, Stratosphere or Hard Rock Hotel would be a good choice. Stratosphere house a landmark of Las Vegas as an observatory tower.

Usually, each hotel comes with its own theme of focus, such as Luxor with Egypt, Caesar's Palace with Rome, Mirage with jungle and volcanic waterfall, New York New York with New York. Coming up in 1998 is Bally's Paris theme. Each of these hotels would offer services, shops and merchanize of similar theme, which are usually obtainable only at the specific hotel shops. Take for example, you get to see flamingoes at the Flamingo Hilton, Caesar's animated statues at the Caesar's palace.

Do not miss walking through the streets of Fremont, at downtown Las Vegas. In the nights, the place is lighted up with a spectacular sight of laser performance on the ceiling. The residents of Las Vegas patronize these streets more than the Strip, and the prices of gifts and merchanize at the shops here offer better prices than those at the Strip.

With the magnificent lightings in the evenings, make sure you keep your camera handy at all times to take photographs of the surroundings. Don't forget to use films for taking night scenery. At Las Vegas, the city stays alive right through the night to the early morn!
