The steel bonding slave to Owner is strong but there is another bond in a
slave's life that is just as important, slavehood. Sisterhood or slavehood
is one of the most loving, kind, yet brutally honest relationships that can
be experienced.
As Gorean slaves, there are many that claim to "know all there is of Gor". A
brother/sister might know more than another, but they are there with
encouragement and if needed a stern voice to show the possible paths for a
slave to follow.
Slavehood does not mean that one will give another the easy way out. A true
brother/sister will offer the information and the help in understanding it,
knowing all along that it will always be up to the slave to learn.
When it comes to difficult times with others, whether Free or slave, one can
turn within the warmth of slavehood to vent and get their head on straight.
((or out of their rear *grin*)).
Those loud cheers when one accomplishes something are usually from the
slaves that are close to you as well as not so close. Any that believe in
the passion that envelopes the soul to serve and please.
Kajiri are honest to a fault sometimes. Their standards are high for
themselves as well as others.
"Slave girls, kept under strict discipline themselves, they
wanted it imposed on others with the same authority, exactness and
perfection that it was imposed upon them. They were deeply concerned that
Claudia not be permitted to get away with anything, no more than they. Was
she, too, not a slave girl? Thus, interestingly, it is often slave girls
themselves who are most zealous to see that masters are strict with their
slaves."
Book 23, Renegades of Gor, page 428
The weaves of slavehood are many and unique. Each strand is filled with
respect for differences and similiarities. The bond that is formed is
exclusive. Only those that have an open mind and heart can be woven in to
the never ending string of slavehood that is there to be turned to without
fear of being judged, but accepted for who and what you are.

| In sisterhood a kajira is refreshed and strengthened by her sisters, the
friendship shared between two sisters becomes a bond. If one is unsure of
how to serve a unfamiliar drink or food item. A sister should always be there
to help them and guide their steps. When times get hard on Gor as they often
are or if You have displeased a Master, it is ones sisters who come to her aid
with comfort and advice. sister hood is accomplished by trusting eachother.
A sister should never try to hurt any of her sisters. a strong bond between
sisters must not be broken it should be a strong one. When a trust is broken
between two sisters, it is hard to repair but not impossible. one believes if
one is truly sorry and works hard to repair which is broken, then it can be
done. we sisters need eachother not only for the bad times but for the good
ones as well. a sister should always treat their sisters as they wish to be
treated. one should always treat her sister with kindness. if a sister is
respected she in turn will respect you. this is a lesson a girl has learned
the hard way. she will strive to build strong bonds with each of her sisters.
and will always try to be their if one should ever need her.

| Sisterhood indicates a bond, a strong bond between women tho share a
simliarity.
On Gor, this similiarity is slavery. While no slave is the same as another,
all kajirae can share a warmth in knowing that there is a support system
firmly in place.
What is it really, to call another girl "sister"?
Has it merely become just a word or does it hold meaning?
To sahira, it is an indication of family. As kajirae, we are all family as we
are all slaves and all have the same simple goal:
To please the Free.
Sisters sometimes fight, hurt each others feelings, grow jealous and gossip.
Sisters also support each other, guide us through our first steps of serving,
dance and Gorean positions, quell fears, offer advice, dry tears and clap
wildly at accomplishments.
Sisters hug, play, giggle, whisper and share joy.
One fact remains the same through all these motions of life on Gor.
We are always sisters.
For this girl, almost everything she has ever learned has been from kajirae.
It was the beauty and warmth of the kajirae that drew her here, it is the
warmth of sisterhood that keeps her here and happily.
We read in the books of how slavegirls compete and abuse one another. This
may be fine for a storyline one is reading, but when interacting on-line,
real feelings are there. one should always respect those feelings of another.
Nobody likes to get hurt. we are here to express ourselves beautifully and be
a joy to Those we serve.
As sisters, we must keep in mind that there is a human being no better or
worse than we, on the other side of those wires.
sahira tries to keep in mind to treat her sisters as she would like to be
treated. Listen when one would need an ear. Offer a hug when one hurts. Have
respect when a sister offers counsel, even if it is hard to swallow.
Where else on-line does one get the opportunity to make such close and
meaningful relationships?
one never really knows where another sister is at when she comes online.
Perhaps she has had an awful day r/t and is looking for a little comfort
found through serving and interacting with T/those who share the common love
of Gor.
Just sayiing hello can do wonders. Watching and acknowledging how a sister
serves. Asking how she is.
All these things make a difference in a girl's life. When sahira was first
stumbling around Gor, those little greetings and smiles helped to build her
confidence, and today, it still does.
We are lucky at the Koroba Inn that fits of jealousy and fighting are not
tolerated. we are here to teach each other and help each other grow not just
as kajirae, but as human beings behind the monitor. we carry what we learn
and experience into r/t. At least this girl does.
So in this girl's opinion, the squabbling and fighting really don't
accomplish anything positive. sahira thinks we can learn better and trust
each other more when we accept that we are essentially all on the same path.
And that path is alot more pleasant when when one can hold a sister's hand
and smile.
sisters are treasures...and we should always keep in mind how we would treat
one who is treasured, for there is no other relationship like the bond of
sisterhood.

Next to your Owner, the people that will be there for you will be your sisters and (if lucky to have them) brothers.
They will be the ones that you turn to when you are in despair or on cloud nine.
They are the ones that will teach, coach and, encourage you to better yourself.
They will clap the loudest for your accomplishments.
They will hold you when you cry.
Unfortunately, they also will be the hardest
and most honest with you as well.
"`In the eyes of Gorean law you are an animal. You have no name in your own right. You may be collared and leashed. You may be bought and sold, whipped, treated as the Master pleases, disposed of as He sees fit. You have no rights whatsoever. Legally you have no more status than a tarsk or vulo. Legally, literally, you are an animal.'" ~pg 316, Explorers of Gor~
Most Free do not and will not listen to the trails and tribulations of a slave’s everyday life. Unless, of course, it pleases Them to do so. You are an animal to Them, granted usually a very beautiful one but an animal none the less. This is why the sister/brotherhood of kajiri is so important.
"Slave girls, kept under strict discipline themselves, they wanted it imposed on others with the same authority, exactness and perfection that it was imposed upon them. They were deeply concerned that Claudia not be permitted to get away with anything, no more than they. Was she, too, not a slave girl? Thus, interestingly, it is often slave girls themselves who are most zealous to see that masters are strict with their slaves. ~pg 428, Renegades of Gor~
As a human being it is natural to want to be treated equal. In slaves this is especially true. Each slave is an individual and unique in their slavery. Yet, it doesn’t change the need for the rules to be the same for each slave. When one slave gets away with something the others are not, it can and may bring dissention to the group.

a girl was asked a question. What does
sisterhood mean to her. When a girl was in
private schools on Urth, she went to all girl
schools. The sisterhood that one experienced
with the girls is so strong that one cannot
explain unless one actually experienced it first
hand. With the girls at school, there was
respect for each other. There was a sense of
knowing that each and every girl strived to
achieve what she wanted, and at the same time she
strived, helped, and hoped for her sister to
achieve their dreams. a girl felt a sense of
belonging, she felt at home, she felt cared for,
and most of all she felt loved.
As a girl began coming to this chat site she
mainly stayed in the BDSM rooms. She met alot of
people in there some of whom were genuine, some
of whom were lying back stabbers. Some who
gossiped, some who spread rumors. There was no
grace or elegance of the submissives, there was
no sense of sisterhood.
a girl after being in gor and getting to know her
sisters, immediately saw a difference. There was
an immediate sense of "sisterhood" her sisters
were sending her pm messages helping her, guiding
her, teaching her, supporting her. This to me is
what sisterhood is about. Not about who gets the
guy first and who can flirt the best. Its about
working towards a common goal. The goal: to be
pleasing to A Master and Mistress. to surrender
a girls self for One. And sisters should treat
each other with respect, they should treat each
other how they want to be treated, they should
help guide, and help instill a sense of belonging
in each other. How can sisters as slaves be
pleasing to The Free if sisters are fighting, in
battle, jealous, competing against the other.
Gor is not fair, and either is life in general.
slaves do not have rights, but one thing slaves
can actually say they do have is sisters, and
that is the best gift one can have.

It's as tangible as the hugs that greet one when she enters her homestone, and as impalpable as the feeling of warmth radiated by luminous smiles. It's a feeling of belonging like that shared by the members of a clsoe knit family who, for all their quirks and anomalies, are still drawn into that circle of love for better or worse
Putting separate personalities aside and looking simply at the heart of a "true kajira", it is this girl's thinking that we are brought together by the understanding of who and what we are. When myyriah speaks of "ture kajira" she means those who strive to serve in all ways...at all times. Their effort is honest in their desire to please and bring honor to the One, the Ubar, the Homestone, and her sisters upon whom her actions reflect just as theirs reflect upon her. myyriah has seen her share of kajiare whose ultimate motive was/is to simply impress A/anyone W/who may or may not be watching with what they believe to be a talent for stringing nouns and adjectives into pretty garland. A true kajira is defined by her heart. It always shines in her work, in her walk, and in her smile. A heart that beats only to serve has no room for ego or petty jealousies. It is exactly that kind of girl that gives meaning to the term "sisterhood" for they are selfless in their efforts to envelope, guide, and nurture. True kajirae are cut from the same cloth and even though the pattern may differ, the fiber remains the same.
We accept that birds of a feather flock together and we even understand why. They are like minds...with common interests and common goals. They have their own language. They communicate in it and understand it. We, as kajirae, converse in a language all our own as well. We understand the pride of serving, the pride of pleasing and even receive words of encouragement from kindred hearts. What would we get discussing these things with those who simply choose to see it as slavery, degredation, and abuse? We are close because we know and we understand what we are about. We are drawn together because we all move with the same singular purpose and the same genuine goal.
