7th July 2002 Director's Ride.
Director Dave knows a good country ride and also where the best tucker is!!! It was a great day, very hot for mid winter but COOOOLD on the way home.
It was a great ride up the highway then over to Kilcoy for morning tea at the Indoor Cricket Club House. Country catering again - best $3 meal I've had in a long time! And 2 cups of tea also. Weather was beautiful and there were a lot of bikes.
We then headed off past Somerset Dam through Esk up to Highfields. Ever tried to fill up 100 bikes allat once? Look at the pictures. I think next time I'll bring my own! Next down through Murphy's Creek (Pop. 6 and no relation to Murph either, more to ME!) and out onto the Toowoomba Highway. We arrived for a scrumpscous or something lunch at the Tampera Hotel,
I think that's how it's spelt. Anyway Congratulations Dave and Sue!
We all enjoyed a well planned ride.
