I often wonder when there are prices for goods or services in Gor, they seldome go togetehr well from what i udnersatnd - eg, space ships come to gather slaves from earth, women who got watched and scrutinized for weeks, got acquired and robbed with biig costs - and then get sold on slave markets for less than a silver tarsk. I have a paper somewhere that listed the values of Gorean coins.... not exactly sure but it went something like 16-20 copper tarsks = 1 silver tarsk... 10-12 silver tarsks = 1 gold tarn disk... a double tarn was obviously worth 2 regular tarn disks.... and any one of themcould be cut into pieces to make change .....

What folks today forget is that back then... metal was worth what it could be USED for... and how rare it was... I collect and attibute old Greek and Roman coins...I have Celtic ring money that was before coins get invented.. copper and bronze in rings small enough to wear... but once you had enough of them you could get it made into a knife or axe..... Lots of things changed already since 200 or 300 years ago.
Just remember when thinking that life may last a bit longer, just 20 or 30 years - that happened druing the last centuries and so we should be happy and content.
