The "jon description" of the Mentors are on the corks in the announcement of the new Honorables.
That posiiton is important as a lot of new Members, Free person, would enjoy to have such a Mentor for questions to tend to.
it has already sometimes bene discussed to have Master classes, a bit like slaves have slave classes, but we all know. Free are not so easy to lead and teach. So the Mentors can do a teaching and trainbing job on the person-to-person level.

I remember in past Forums it was a topic of discussion and it is good to see the Council considered the need for Mentors.. Both Masters are excellent and will do an outstanding job. This is from personal experience..

The slaves have trainers, the Free now have Mentors.
The tasks are very similar, train and teach to a level GS wants to run this place. For which the Council or Captains, slave classes and events like forum and euroforum do work well and with all of the regulars in here.

All tzhe time i´m now in GS, about 10 years i nver saw more than 2 max 3 Captains being in or taking part actively in the affairs and events of GS.
Since a year or so we have 6 Captains and that makes the dais quite crowded. A saying here says it is not wise to have more chiefs than injuns.
So nomating more Men to Advisors will need some Captains retire prior to that.

An excellent idea I think because the most difficult part of belonging for a new person is understanding what to do and say and the worst thing for gs is multiple ideas and cross purposes at play based on differing degrees of knowledge on the rp ...unity is the key thing boyth in undesrstanding and behaviours...without becoming clones of course

Bretval - the Captains didn´t resign from the duty and task to mentor any person of and in GS who wishes help, advise, guidance or lead - both, Free persons and slaves. The Captains care about the whole place to run in the best way it can be. Not meaning that this task is ever done fully and totally so the work never stops.

Like Mentor Zoran runs nowthe sparring at Wednesdays the Menor Randolph runs that a year or 2 now the Euroforums, at leats mostly. So both do very valued and estimated work for our Home and that is a good challange for all of us - do what you can for our Home to make it a place we want to be and enjoy to be.
This place lives of the people coming in, no one else does make it a place to be but each person adding a part.

Next topic on My list is - a Northern style evening in the Tavern.
We had in lately in slave classes about the differences in normal service, harta service and northern style service of bondmaids.
That arised the proposal to have such an evening in the tavern. A kind if game night of Jarls and bondmaids but of cause of all others being in and welcomed too.

That should be done, a bit of advising the Masters and the slaves, ariella.
Some points i listed up for Northern style feast are:
Serve at tables - all Free sitting at them.
Slaves bring vessels (tankards and horns) and fill them from pitchers.
No special beautiful service to a single person like in GS-tavern is default.
Masters grope, pinch and slap bondmaids just because.
Bondmaids dance on the tables.

Master Heretic the only restriction that flicka has ever had is that Non Pledged Masters may not use a girl, this is so that flicka is not put in the position of having to judge whether or not a Master is a HNG. The assumption being that all pledged members are honourable and Gorean.
