Former Characters- El Vampiro Canadiense (The Canadian Vampire), El Vampiro Casanova

Place of Birth- Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada

Was drafted by Kingston in the Ontario Hockey League in 1984, but soon left to pursue the rock scene in Southern California. Soon enough he hit the Mexican Wrestling senses.

Cast as El Vampiro Canadienese (Canadian Vampire), he became one of the most popular wrestlers in Mexico, and a sex symbol to boot. Most of his time was spent in EMLL and CMLL.

Is considered a "stiff" worker, in that he isn't afraid of taking bumps and works in almost a hardcore style with lots of Japanese and Mexican lucha libre and puorescu (Japanese lucha libre) influence in his wrestling style and arsenal.

Wrestled in Japan for WAR in 94 and Michinoku in 97

Wrestled for the AAA several times, once he was fired and once he quit.

***Held the UWA World Heavyweight Championship on 1/31/92 in Mexico!!!!!!!

He won the FILL Title during his time in Mexico. While in EMLL, Konnan and Vampiro developed a real backstage hatred of one another, with Konnan at one point threatening to kill Ian (Vampiro) and his wife.

Later on in the year, he wrestled a match in Arena Mexico where he was signed to a WCW contract by then WCW booker Terry Taylor.

Was seen as a valuable prospect by fellow bookers Sonny Ono and Kevin Sullivan, although was buried in political clout due to a personal feud with Konnan dating to their lucha days.

It was rumored that his wife had been threatened by Konnan as well (but I don’t know that for sure).

Made an appearance on the June 30, 1998 edition of WCW Monday Nitro where he easily defeated Brad Armstrong with his finisher, The Nail in The Coffin, but disappeared from WCW TV for months afterward. He knocked 4 of his teath out!

Was made a part of Team WCW in Mexico along with the Latino World Order in their feud against EMLL in Mexico.

Redebuted on the 3/18/99 edition of WCW Thunder by defeating Prince Iaukea.
