You are Lords. Try to remember to be expressive with Your posts, dress
richly and as would a Lord or Knight of this time. ..
We live in the age of chivalry, honor, ethics, and at least outward morals.
Ladies are treated with respect and dignity, put on pedestals as objects of
beauty. They are not equal to Lords in status, but they are as witty,
intelligent, flirtatious, and at times opinionated.
A Lord is to be noble, caring, brave and strong in which ever role life does take him. Be
it Knight, or simple folk. Treat A/all with the respect they deserve.
Do nae be afraid to strike up conversation with others, there is much to talk of in our home.
From the latest weapons, and training techniques, to delightful talks with the Ladies and Lasses of
our home. Suggest a spar with someone to test feats of strength and ability.
Don't hesitate to speak up and share ideas. Problems should be discussed in
private through PMs or on ICQ, so they do not disrupt the room. If they
are significant, bring it to the attention of the Council.
Treatment of the servants: The servants work very hard in the castle. They
bring you whatever you desire, they serve however they are allowed to, and
all they ask in return is some attention to be paid them. The Castle is to be
an enjoyable place for All who come. Being ignored is not fun. A few
examples of improper behavior: Asking for a serve, and never even
commenting; asking for a drink, then taking the drink before the servant
has even reached You with it; asking for a serve when You know you have
not the time for the servant to finish the serve.
**please note that there will be no striking of slaves. If You feel one has wronged Ye... seek out a Council Member or the slaves personal owner. Save the posts and show them to the Member.
If the servants do not promptly offer to serve You, make sure they are not
busy or occupied before letting them know You are displeased. If they are
busy with another, they will normally smile at You but not speak. Try to be
specific in Your wants so they do not have to ask you to clarify what You
wish. Do not just ask for wine, for instance....say "red wine" or "white
wine", etc. When You are pleased, make sure the servant is praised. They
usually work hard to satisfy You and also wish to attract attention from the
Room. You can comment on the quality of Other's serves, but never
interfere. We try to comment on every serve being made in the room, but at
least make sure that You comment during a serve being made directly for
You. If You are busy talking to others, turn and smile in the direction of
the server. That lets everyone know You are watching.
Please leave petty disputes and r/t problems out of the room. If You have a problem with someone, take it to pm. If You cannot settle Your differences and it pertains to the Room and Role-playing, please feel free to take it to Council.
