Ladies Conduct

Ye are Ladies. A word that has many meanings in the historical times we play in. In Windstorm, being a Lady means more then purely nobility of birth. It carries in itself a responsibility towards Home and Family in both behavior and in whichever task Ye take upon Yeself.

Try to remember to be expressive with Ye posts, dress richly and appropriately for the times we play in. Courteous conversation, mild flirtations, all were a way of passing time in the Medieval days. The virtue of a Lady however, was of the utmost importance in the way she was looked upon.

Ladies are to be witty, intelligent, kind, caring and at times opinionated. All of the Ladies in Our Home are different, each their unique and precious self. And yet all seem to have, or acquire that indefinable quality that makes them in truth 'Windstorm Women': Heart, and sometimes backbone of Our Home.

Ladies are allowed to pick up weapons, to be knighted and join in battles and all aspects of the military inside of the Castle. This is less of an historic infringement than it may seem. Though war and the way of weapons will not be to the liking of all Ladies, those that wish will get the same opportunities to learn and advance as the Lords.

Don't hesitate to speak up and share ideas. Problems should be discussed in private through PMs or on ICQ, so they do not disrupt the room. If they are significant, PLEASE bring it to the attention of the Council. We are adults, here to share a unique experience, in respect for each other, and in the realization that We are all Human. Problems are simply there to be resolved.

Commoners: those not of noble birth, and not granted a title of nobility by the King, are called commoners. They too can be addressed as M'lady as a sign of particular respect. Good woman is another respectful way of addressing such Ladies.

There are no slaves in Windstorm, but there are servants, people of free birth, who assist and serve the Nobles and commoners. And there are serfs, bound to the territory of Windstorm by birth, but not the same as slaves. They work on the fields, in the Castle, or in the village and in return of the right to work the fields and live from its proceeds, do work for their Liege. They are valued members of Our Home and their work is appreciated.
Any attempt to disrespect, or mistreat a Windstorm Woman, be She Lady, Good woman, servant or serf of this Household, or any attempt to make Them do something against Their wishes, will not be looked upon kindly. Each of them is a treasured part of Our Family. Each of them enjoys the protection of the Windstorm Lords, and the respect they earn for themselves with their behavior.
