" Hello?" I said into the phone.
" Anastasia?"
" Hey Nick!"
" Hey, what are you doing right now?"
" Watching you."
" What?!"
" Your video is on T.V."
" I see..."
" Nick, what's wrong?" I could sense it in him, cause usually when he called to talk he wouldn't shut up.
" Can't I call my best girl?"
" Nick."
" I need to talk to you, can I come over?"
" Yeah of course you can. Whenever you want."
" I'll be there in 5."
He hung up the phone and left me worried. I had no idea what this was about. Five minutes passed and the door bell rang. I made my way to the door and opened it.
" Come on in."
" Your brother home?"
" Nope, he's at work."
" OK." Nick and I went into the living room and made ourselves comfortable on the couch.
" So Nicky, talk to me." He ran his fingers through his hair nervously.
" What I'm about to tell you I want to let you know that I'm never ever going to lose touch with you again. I mean I love you as a friend. Its like we never stopped being best friends and this past month everything has been so great!"
" I know what you mean. But what are you getting to hun?"
" Last night Kevin received a call from management. And then he called us all together at his place and talked. Anastasia, I-we, the guys and I, are leaving in two days. Something was screwed up and we have to do a 21 state tour."
He put his head down as if he were afraid to look into my eyes.
" Nick." I lifted his chin so that his eyes were staring directly into mine. " Its, OK. I trust you. Its only 21 states, not like a world tour so its all good right?" He cracked a small smile.
" Your not mad?"
" Why would I be mad? I understand your career." " I was so afraid that you would think that I was going to leave you, and not have anything to do with you again."
" You have nothing to be afraid about. Like you said this past month has been great, and when you get back, the next months will be just as great. I mean I expect you to call me once in a while to tell me how you and the other guys are."
" Ahh your the best!" He gave me a huge hug. " I wanted you to come with us, but well..."
" I understand. Now I'm hungry lets go get some pizza."
" Sounds like a plan!"
The two days went by so fast. I trusted Nick meant everything he said when he came to my house that one day all upset. I mean him and I could use some time apart so we don't get sick of eachother, right? Everything will be fine when he gets home. He's my best friend thats it....
" ANASTASIA!" Keith called out causing me to shut my diary quickly.
"What?"
" Nick is here with the rest of the guys." He said popping his head in my bedroom door.
" Alright, thank you." I got myself in my chair and went to the living room. Brian, Leigh Ann, Howie, Kevin, Nick, and A.J. were in it.
" Hey guys."
" Yo!" A.J. yelled with a crazy smile.
" Yo!" I yelled back. " Lets make this short and sweet, I hate good byes even though I'll see you in about a month or so."
" Ya'll heard the lady." Brian said getting up and walking over to me. " I'm glad we've become friends. Plan on hearing from me during the time I'm gone." He gave me a hug and kissed my cheek.
" Same goes for me. We're going to have do some shopping when I get back. I didn't get to that much because I was busy."
" Hate to break it to ya Bones but I'm not a shopper."
" What?! Your not a girl then."
" Well, your not a guy then."
" Maybe, I'm not, got a problem with that?" He asked putting his hands in the air. Everyone laughed.
" Of course not. Talk to you soon A.J. " He gave me a hug. And a peck on the cheek. Kevin went next then Howie. The guys left so that Nick and I could have a minute.
" So this is it?"
" Nickolas, stop being so dramatic and give me a hug." So he did and ended up lifting me out of the chair.
" I'll call you as soon as we get to California."
" You better. Now go make a million girls happy."
" Yeah yeah, I'll see you soon. Take care of yourself."
" You too Nick." He kissed my cheek also and set me down on the couch.
" Love ya."
" Right back at ya babe." He smiled and left.
Nick walked to the limo where everyone else was.
" Don't look so happy Kaos." Nick gave Howie a " shut up" look.
" Man why don't you two go out already." Brian said with stupid grin on his face.
" She's my best friend. Best friend who is a girl. It would be like going out with my sister BJ."
" Some how I doubt that." Brian told him. The rest of the way to the airport was quiet.
