"I'll never understand why these girls have to be so cruel to you just because you're my girlfriend. They don't even know you," Brian tells Arlene one day as he is holds up a letter from a not-so-thrilled fan.
"Well, I kinda do since I used to be like them..." she admits.
"Really?" he asks in amusement.
"Yeah...but I never sent you a letter, so at least I'm not that bad."
"Why not?"
"Because I wasn't sure if you would actually read it...God I can't believe I'm telling you this," she exclaims as she blushes.
"Don't be embarrassed!"
"I can't help it. Don't forget that I was a part of your endless flock of fans who dreamed of one day meeting you. Thankfully, I accomplished that.....and much more," she says with a smile. "Really? I wonder, before you met me, what did you think of me?" he asks innocently.
"Uh, uh, no way. I'm not telling you!"
"If you don't, I may just never talk to you again."
"That seems pretty good to me right about now."
"Hey! Come on, tell me! Please......" he pleads, putting on a puppy face.
Arlene laughs and throws her arms up in defeat. "I can't believe you're making me do this. Ok, before I met you......when I would see your gorgeous face on my tv screen, listen to your soulful voice on the radio, I would think that you were a really good-looking backstreet boy who could sing very well and looked like a really great guy to be around with."
"And now?" he asks softly.
"Now....well....now I realize that I was wrong. You, Brian Littrel, are so much more. You are the sweetest, most caring guy that I have ever met. No guy has ever treated me with so much love and respect like you have. No guy has ever been even close to ever giving me the slightest idea that he would risk his own life for me. In fact, I can tell you right now that I feel and know that I can trust you wholeheartedly. I love you so much that it hurts....and.....when your heart had stopped beating...."
"Sweetie, I thought we were over this. You don't have to..."
Arlene shakingly holds up her hand to silence him and lowers her gaze as she continues. "When your heart had stopped beating, and I saw you lying there.....lifeless......I felt as if a part of me had died with you..."
When she looks at him again, she sees that his blue eyes are filled with tears. "...I'm so sorry that I put you through all that pain....I love you with all my heart," he says as he softly strokes her cheek.
Arlene leans over and gives him a soft kiss on his lips. She then lies down next to him and he wraps his arms around her. She closes her eyes and sighs with pleasure as he starts softly singing her to sleep:
"I don't care who you are
where you're from
don't care what you did
as long as you love me..."
Neither of them notice the door to Brian's room creaking open...
"Hey, gu..." Priscilla's voice trails away as she peeks in and sees Brian and Arlene both sound asleep.
"Priscilla, go in already, I wanna see..."
"Shh!! Look, they're asleep. Come on, let's leave them alone, we'll come back later."
"Ok," Nick agrees. Priscilla quietly closes the door and follows Nick back to the waiting room, where AJ, Kevin, and Howie are waiting.
"That was fast. What happened?" Howie asks.
"They're asleep," Priscilla casually replies.
"Yeah, with Arlene is lying right next to him, so who knows..." Nick devilishly adds.
"Nick!" Priscilla exclaims, playfully slapping him on the shoulder. He grabs it and pretends to be in pain. They all laugh.
"Nick, you gotta learn to take your pain like a man!" AJ exclaims, giving him a smack on his back.
"But she hits hard..." Nick whines.
"I do not.....right guys?"
"No.....of course not...." the three boys murmur.
"Fine! Be like that, see if I care." She crosses her arms and turns away from them, pretending to be mad. Three seconds later, she feels someone enclose her in his arms and, to her surprise, picks her up and carries her like a baby. "Nick! Put me down!" she cries out, laughing at the same time.
"Not until I get a kiss."
"Why should I?"
"Because I love you." As if on cue, AJ, Kevin, and Howie say mockingly, "Awww," which then makes Nick blush.
Priscilla giggles at the sight of his red cheeks. "Well, since you put it that way..." She gives him a kiss, which Nick hungrily returns with a passion that makes her tingle from head to toe.
After that week, Brian is finally released from the hospital and they all immediately catch the next flight to Orlando. Due to the fact that Brian can't do any physical stuff like dance around, the boys decide to cancel their spring tour and reschedule it for the summer. This way, Brian will have a chance to fully recover and the guys have some extra vacation. During those couple of months, the BSB and the girls become close friends. Ever since they first met, they instantly liked the way the two girls treated them...like regular people, not stars. With all the fun they were having, especially the two couples, those months flew by extremely fast. Before long, Brian was on his feet and practicing his butt off all the dance steps that the rest of the guys already knew. The tour was approaching fast. Priscilla and Arlene start to get sad at the thought of not seeing the guys, especially their boyfriends, for 3 whole months.
"Baby, I'm gonna miss you and the guys so much when you leave," Priscilla mentions to Nick one night in his house as they cuddle up on the couch.
"Well, actually, me and the guys were thinking.....well that is, if it's ok with you....." he shyly stutters.
"Nick! Spit it out!" she cries out, smiling.
"Ok, ok! We were wondering if you and Arlene would like to accompany us on our tour."
"Really?! Of course I would, and I know Arlene will jump at the chance to be with Brian. Thank you!!" she happily cries out, giving him a big hug and kiss.
"Mmm, I'm just happy that while we are performing, I'll have the comfort of knowing that I have you to get back to for the night."
"I'll be waiting..." she says before they lose themselves in a passionate kiss.
I love her so much...
Damn, he's a good kisser!
The next morning, the happy couple go over to Brian's house where they find everybody there. After giving each guy a hug and a thank you, Priscilla quickly runs over to Arlene to tell her the good news. "Guess what girl! We're going on tour with them!"
"I know! I was about to tell you the same thing! Brian told me yesterday. It came as a complete surprise."
"I know! And I think I properly thanked Nick..."
"Hmm, as I did with Brian..." They exchange giggles and continue chatting.
"I wonder what they're talking so much about," Brian mentions to the guys, whom are all standing on the other side of the room.
"I bet you it's us," Howie replies.
"Well, we're talking about them, so I guess it's fair," Kevin adds.
Later the day, the girls say their goodbyes and go home to start packing for the 3-month tour.
"Girl, remember to pack those sexy dresses that you have. We gotta keep them on their toes," Priscilla jokes.
"Exactly what I had in mind," Arlene giggles.
Before long, the day finally arrives. The two girls wait outside their house for the guys to pick them up on their tour bus. They arrive a couple of minutes later, and Brian and Nick quickly give them a kiss, both very happy that they're coming, but then notice the mountain of luggage awaiting for them to carry.
"Damn, baby! It's only 3 months, you know," Nick cries out in surprise.
"I know, these are the basic necessities," Priscilla innocently replies.
"Yeah....plus a few extras that I know you will like...." Arlene tells Brian.
"Like what?" he asks.
"Well...." She then whispers something for a few moments in his ear.
His eyes widen and he immediately picks up her luggage and starts carrying it to the tour bus. When he notices Nick's confused gaze, he simply says, "Nick, just carry the luggage. Trust me, it'll be worth it." Nick then looks at Priscilla, who just innocently smiles. He decides to take his friend's advice and helps carry the luggage to the bus. The two girls get in, greet the other guys, and get settled for the ride to the arena in Orlando, where the boys are first performing. They arrive fairly early, but nevertheless, decide to stay in for they know that the fans will be arriving soon.
A couple of hours later, they hear the impatient cries of the fans who want the BSB to come out. The boys are backstage and are all dressed and ready to go in a couple of minutes.
"Have lots of fun, guys," the girls tell them.
"Oh, we will, we never get tired of doing this," AJ informs them.
"Come on, we have to go," Howie mentions as he drags AJ.
"Later, girls!" Kevin happily says as he follows them.
"Ok, it's time for you two to go to your seats," Brian tells them.
"Ok, sweetie, I'll talk to you later," Arlene says, giving him a kiss. "Meet us backstage immediately after the concert, got it?" Nick asks.
"Ok, Nick," Priscilla says as she gives him a big kiss.
"COME ON NICK! YOU TOO, BRIAN! WE'RE ABOUT TO START!" Kevin cries out.
"Ok already!" Brian cries out as he gives Arlene a quick kiss and a wave as he leaves.
"I promise to wave to you while we perform. C-ya in a couple of hours, baby," Nick hastingly says as he follows Brian. The two girls quickly run to their seats and make it just in time to see them run out to stage, much to the delight of their fans. As they kick of their performance with "Larger Than Life", the girls can't help but think that this is just the beginning of their newfound friendship and love with the Backstreet Boys.
