Here you will only find the highest quality fabrics and textiles. This is a world of rich silks, soft velvets, linens, cottons, wools, charmeuses, chiffons, tussars, dupionis, noils, organzas, georgettes, matkas, cashmeres, lace, just to name a few of the exotic fabrics found in the shops.

Outside the shops and in the nearby gardens you will find peacocks strutting about like kings and queens. Their molted feathers are gathered and collected for ornamentation purposes to grace the fanciful creations of the Keep's designers and tailors. The shops have their own salons were fabrics are molded into fashionable clothing, household linens, and even plush stuffed animal toys.

There is lucretive trade in goods produced by the Keep for feathers, cloths, foods, gemstones, and other goods from the corners off the Empire. Thus, the feathers off other tropical creatures such as wild parrots adorn some of the clothing. The Imperial Codex prohits the killing off animals for their pelts that are not designated as domesticated food products. Patience is the greatest virtue among Imajians and the view that all life is sacred rules how animals are handled. Breeders have to wait until their charges molt or shade their pelts. Others use shears to get the much desired furs. Even those used for food are offered a prayer and death is quick and painless.

Creative minds and busy hands bring to life masterpieces of color and texture to tantalize the visual senses. Feathers, glass beads, gold, and gemstones both precious and semiprecious are use in the creation process. Only natural dyes and materials are used in the creation of textiles. The cloths are hand weaved a process that takes hundres of hours.

In the caverns below the Keep, there are special areas were giant silk worms are kept. Here they feed and raise their young. The silk is collected from the worms only after the young have hatched from their silken cocoons. In another area of the caverns are the Crystal Weavers, giant glass like spiders the size of a grown male gargoyle's outstretched hand. The Weavers produce the softest and finest quality silks. None of the creatures are harmed or killed in order to obtain their natural products. The silks are only collected once the young Weavers and worms emerge from their pupas and cocoons.

For the Ladies of the Keep, the Designers' fertile minds will combine rich fabrics into pieces to that bring out each Ladies' beauty and enhance nature's treasures. For the menfolk, our robes come in different styles and colors. Materials for our robes are made from silk to velvets. We will make custom designs or work with you come up with something unique. Some of our more specialized robes are adorned with precious gem stones.
