“I miss you more…” Billie grinned into the phone. The guys were on a short tour of South America for a couple months, promoting their new album.
“That’s impossible! There is no way you can miss me more then I miss you,” Nick laughed.
“When are you guys coming back?”
“In 2 weeks and you wanna know the best part?”
“What?” she asked, rolling a large ball of cookie dough.
“We have off for like…3 months and I get to spend some time with you...” Nick said mischievously.
“Oh yummy!”
“Gee you wanna see me that much?” he said, grinning.
“What? No, I was tasting this chocolate chip cookie dough I’m making.” she said, laughing at him. Nick laughed.
“Knock, knock.” Kevin walked in. “We’re heading out to grab something to eat, you coming along?”
“Yea give me a few,” he replied, looking over the phone.
“Whose that? Bebz?” Kevin cynically asked.
“Yea…” His eyes shot open “I mean!” But it was too late!
Kevin’s eyes gleamed. “Ah ha! I knew it! Bebz is your love toy isn’t she?” He gave Nick a weird look. “It’s a she… Right?”

Billie was listening to what was going on. Her eyes were growing wider and wider. “Tell him yes it’s a girl and that you’re going out with Willow’s cousin uh… KiKi!”
She listened closely trying her best to hear. Kevin was making a big deal about the whole thing like Nick’s never had a girlfriend before. Her eyes wandered around the kitchen. ‘Please don’t let him find out…?’ The door slammed.
“Snuffles?” she asked.
“Yea I’m here,” he said
“Phew that was close!” she sighed relieved
“Bebz we’re gunna have to tell them sometime! We can’t keep this up forever.” He was beginning to feel distressed.
“I know Snuffles.” She sighed halfheartedly, “ I know…”
The weeks flew by and soon the guys were back in their own homes. A.J. and Billie were hanging out in her room. She was braiding his hair when her phone rang.
“Billie’s house of whips and chains, we know when your naughty.” she grinned. A.J. smacked her leg and laughed.
“How’s my Bebz doing?”
“Hey! I’m good and you?” She smiled.
“Not so good,” Nick responded in a sad voice.
“Why what’s wrong?” she asked while tying the end of the braid in another tiny Hello Kitty hair tie.
“Your not here with me that’s what,” he said softly.
She melted. A.J. looked up at her. “Who is it BooBoo?”
“What was that A.J.?” she said, loud enough so that Nick could hear.
“I’ll go now…” Nick frowned.
“No that’s okay! Stay on the…” She was cut off by the dial tone. Nick had hung up on her! She hung the phone up slowly.
“What happened?” A.J. poked her leg like a little kid wanting his mom’s attention.
She faked a smiled. “It was Willi. She had to go.”
~^~^~^~ About an hour later ~^~^~^~
“Hmmm…” Billie inspected his hair “I think it’s done… what do you think?”
He leaned over and checked himself out in the mirror. “Nice! I should have you do my hair more often.”
“Why thank you Mr. McLean! That would be the usual payment,” she grinned, sticking her hand out at him. He laughed and handed her a pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.
“Thank you!” She smiled slightly, taking them and nibbling on one of them.
“Well, I have to go. I promised Howie I’d go shopping with him tomorrow and I need to charge up!” He hugged her “Goodnight BooBoo”
“Goodnight A.J.” She faked another smile.
A.J. knew something was wrong. Billie NEVER nibbled a Reese’s Peanut butter cup even if she was on fire, but he decided to leave it alone for now. She walked him to the front door and saw him out, waving goodbye as he pulled out of the driveway.
She closed the door behind her and looked around the empty house. Gramma, Grampop, and Denise had gone to visit family out of state and Billie didn’t feel like going so she was left alone. She sighed, thinking about Nick. She fell onto the couch and cried, feeling totally horrible for what she did on the phone.
After a hot shower, she felt a little better. She was just about to go to bed when the doorbell rang.
“Ugh…” she grumbled walking over to the door. “It never fails. Every time I’m gunna do something, SOMEONE has to interrupt!” She opened to the door and to her surprise; Nick was standing there.

Kevin was pacing back and forth in his room. “Why would Nick have a girlfriend and not tell us about it?” He was beginning to talk to himself! After an hour and a half of pacing, he picked up the phone and dialed Brian’s number.

Brian and Tyke had just fallen asleep when the telephone rang. He grumbled and let it ring, hoping that who ever it was would give up. Brian buried his head under his pillow to block the ringing. Tyke buried his head also, growling at the phone.

“Damn!” he cussed, slamming the phone down. “Where could he be?”
Kevin thought for a moment and decided to call A.J.
~^~^~^~ A.J.’s House ~^~^~^~
The sound of the phone ringing could be heard through out A.J.’s house. Panda and Bear were sitting in front of the phone watching it ring.
“Go away…” he whined at the phone, covering his head with the blanket. The phone just kept ringing and ringing. Finally, annoyed at the caller and the ringing, A.J. sat up, turned the light on and ripped the cord out of the wall serenely. He smiled contently and went back to sleep with Panda and Bear snuggled up beside him.

“When did A.J. get a life?” he asked himself out loud. He slammed the phone down. He was about to call Nick when it dawned on him.
“If Nick wouldn’t tell me about his girlfriend in the first place, why would he tell me why he didn’t say anything?” He decided to call Howie.
~^~^~^~ Howie’s House ~^~^~^~
Howie was nice and asleep in his bed when his slumber was interrupted by the annoying sound of the phone. He rolled over to his night table and looked at the clock.
“4:35 in the morning! Who the hell would be calling at this time?” He picked up the phone. “Hello…?”
“Howie? This is Kevin!”
“Kevin, are you insane?” His voice was weary.
“If I don’t talk to someone soon I will go insane! I called both Brian and A.J. and none of them answered!” Kevin said franticly.
“Kev, it’s almost five in the morning, of course they wouldn’t answer!” Howie said, getting restless.
“Oh…well…I didn’t know it was that time…” He felt bad now for waking everyone up, if he even did wake them up.
“What’s your problem? I’m here to help.” Howie sighed as he sat up in his bed.
“Well, I found something out a couple weeks ago that’s been bugging me since and I have to tell someone before I explode!” Kevin was getting hyperactive all over again.
“Alright, what you find out.” He was becoming very interested.
“You ready for this? Nick has a girlfriend he’s been keeping a secret for almost a year!”
