Welcome to the Star Wars Section of this website.

This section started a few short years ago with what was actually my second website ever, a website dedicated specifically to one of my favorite subjects, Star Wars. That website was Farlander’s Star Wars Library. It was meant to be a source of information concerning characters, ships, droids, etc. that could be found throughout the movies and the Star Wars Expanded Universe. At one time it also included a trivia page that eventually was dropped, as was the site itself. Sadly, the site became a place where the information was mostly presented in the form of various statistics and all other information was left out. The only item to be presented with any information at all, the lightsaber, disappeared when it’s category was removed. Today, Farlander’s Star Wars Library still proudly bears it’s name despite the fact that it is no longer it is no longer it’s own separate website. It has become a part of The Realm. And while the name of the website is still proudly displayed when it is brought up, it is now merely the Farlander Library.

Yet the Farlander Library is not the only part of this section. It is joined by three other sections in the make up of this section, the Polling Section, the Theories section, and the RPG Material section. So far these four sections make up the greater Star Wars section. Hopefully that will not always be the case.

Star Wars is, as I have already stated one of my favorite subjects. My memory of win I first saw the original movie is rather cloudy, perhaps because I was still very young at the time. From what I’m told, we actually checked the movie out from the local library in movie projector format and because we didn’t have sound to go along with it, my father made up the dialogue and sound effects. As I do remember, vaguely, things that don’t take place in the movie, I have to believe this is true. But I do remember clearly when I first saw The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Jedi is the first one I remember seeing clearly as I was a good bit older at the time, and my family watched it the year it came out in theaters. Empire I saw in the spring of ‘85 in school. Yet now I have seen all three probably over a thousand times, and The Phantom Menace at least fifteen.

It was the original movies that sparked my interest in Star Wars, and the novelization to Jedi that first got me truly intrested in the books. Prior to reading that novelization, my only experience with Star Wars books had been a couple of the read-along books, an Empire coloring book, and a Jedi Pop-Up book. Yet since reading the novelization to Jedi, I have become even more fascinated with Star Wars, reading as many of the books as I can get my hands on. Today I own most of the adult novels, a few juvenile novels, all the Essential Guides so far released, and various other books. I have also found interest in various Star Wars comics as well. Virtually all things Star Wars fuel my interest, and that interest has given birth to this section of The Realm.

I hope you find a certain amount of enjoyment in this section.
