The events of the Rainforest Ball and the Snowy Cones Factory had had devastating ramifications for the Duo and Robin was prepared to leave Batman's side, as a result of Poison Ivy's seductive charms.
Robin's attraction to Ivy had been intensified to the point where he believed himself to be in love with her. Her manipulations of him - of his inner frustrations with Batman and his built-up feelings for her - caused Bruce Wayne's attempts to reason with him to fall on deaf ears. Despite the clear danger Ivy presented his mind had been clouded to allow for nothing but thoughts of her. Meanwhile, Ivy sat ready to witness Freeze deliver vengeance on Gotham City and the world thereafter, allowing her to claim the Earth as her own.
But in order for Freeze's plans to succeed, he needed Ivy's help to distract the heroes. And she knew just how to go about it.
With Batman's outright rejection of Poison Ivy's charms, it was obvious to her the weak link in the team to go after was Robin. While Freeze readied his men. Ivy schemed to lure Robin away from Batman, so she could freely seduce him, alone and uninterrupted and finally kill him with her poison kiss. Under the guise of Pamela Isley Ivy infiltrated a party gathering with many figures in attendance, including Commissioner Gordon whom had what she needed. Seducing with her love-dust Ivy learned of the whereabouts of the Batsignal, and stole his keys to the rooftop of the GCPD where it lay, leaving the infatuated Commissoner behind.

With Bane in tow, Ivy snuck unopposed onto the top of police headquarters and ordered the giant to wrest the Batsignal from it's hinges and remove it from it's spot. Taking it far away from the GCPD Ivy changed the signal's projection, from that of the black Bat to red Bird symbol on Robin's suit: Changing it from a Batsignal into a Robin-signal.
Ivy sent out the signal to call for Robin and lure him to her. Robin eagerly took the bait as anticipated, knowing from past experience it was Ivy calling him. As he readied to leave, Bruce Wayne tried one last time to convince his ward of Ivy's evil. Emboldened by his signal and the fact Ivy had did it for him Robin was unfazed by his accusations, again believing them to be petty, jealous lies.
Ultimately, Robin left the cave alone on the Redbird intent on seeking out the source of the Robin-signal, where Poison Ivy waited for him.
Tracing the signal to somewhere in Blossom Street, Robin found his Robin-signal tucked away at the end of a dark alley sitting directly next to an old and seemingly-abandoned Turkish bathhouse. Robin approached the ivy-strewn iron gate which opened by itself for him in acknowledgement of his presence and allowing him to enter.

Inside, Robin found himself in a beautiful, radiant jungle-like garden with vibrant plants and flowers as far as the eye accompanied by an unknown light source that poured in like sunlight. He advanced with both caution and awe. Robin walked through an open curtain of hanging vines which abruptly closed behind him as he passed- seemingly intent on sealing him from the exit- and briefly stopping him in his tracks in surprise. With no other alternative, Robin continued on.

Ahead of him, deeper within the lair, a long, dark inner sanctum spread out before him, pulsing with shafts of eerie purple light. A pond filled most of the room, it's waters glowing with luminous green light and adorned with massive, man-sized lilypads. A pair of great floral fans hung from the ceiling and parted as Robin drew closer, inviting him into the lair whilst the curtains of ivy pushed him further.

Robin was funneled down the tiled steps, unperturbed by the dense forest teeming with unusual life surrounding him and slowly blanketing all evidence of the entrance. He passed under yet more curtains that ominously closed behind him with increased frequency as he reached the water's edge, leaving a choking mess of jungle flora with apparent desire keep him going and to deny him a hasty retreat. Robin carried down the path before him, beckoned onward.

Another pair of floral fans parted as Robin reached the end of the path and stepped into the sanctum. Beyond them there was a giant flower bud, resting silent and proud at opposite end of the pool at the water's mouth. Far larger and grander than any plant he'd seen thus far.

One by one the petals peeled off the flower bud revealing a small glimpse of it's contents: A cozy receptacle with a figure nestled within. Slowly and then all at once it opened, presenting Robin with garden's centerpiece with grand flair.

The flower opened to show it to be a radiant tropical bloom, wild and beautiful as it was massive. As the blossoming flower spread it's petals wide the room filled with warm, illuminating light that fell over it like the sun's rays; as though in glorious recognition of the scene.
Sprawled out within the bloom's receptacle was Poison Ivy, posing provocatively and stretching herself out voluptuously in anticipation of Robin's arrival.
Robin stepped forward, completely taken aback by her. His captivation was briefly interrupted when a mess of hanging vines fell from the canopy, giggling to themselves as sealed him off for the final time. He surveyed them a moment before he returned his gaze to Ivy.

Poison Ivy smiled widely and flashed her eyebrows at Robin flirtatiously. She greeted him with a casual "Hi there" and pursed her vibrant, red lips seductively.
Robin made an approach to the water's edge, cautiously stepping onto the crystaline man-sized lilypads. "Is your thumb the only part of you that's green?" he awkwardly quipped as he fumbled with his balance.
Ivy responded coyly, addressing and fixating on Robin with a slender finger. "You will just have to find out!" she teased with a deep, alluring smile.
Undeterred- perhaps even encouraged- by her, Robin carefully moved across the vast pond from lily-pad to lily-pad towards Ivy's floral throne. He told Ivy his desire to be with her but he wanted to be sure that she would "turn over a new leaf" to be with him, like she had implied to him in their last encounter in the Snowy Cones Factory.
Robin reached his destination and clambered onto the giant flower's corona, slumping next to the villainess' glamorous form. Poison Ivy locked eyes with Robin, before he finished his thought. "I need a sign-"
Ivy draped her hand behind Robin to caress his back and gave the hero a smouldering stare. "How about 'Slippery when wet'?" she offered.
Robin immediately corrected her to her surprise (and visible displeasure). "-of trust." He gave her his terms. "Tell me your plan."
She surveyed him and adjusted the hand behind his, bringing it higher and closer to his neck. "Kiss me and I'll tell you", she cooed with a breathy murmur. Ivy lingered a little in confidence, prominently offering her lips while Robin processed her enticing offer.
"Tell me and I'll kiss you", he eventually countered. A flicker of a frown flashed across Ivy's face. It wasn't the kind of response she expected from Robin of all people given their history. Nor was it the kind her reputation deserved. She paused and considered his bargain. She saw no harm in it, not when he wasn't going to live tell about it.
With that, Ivy rushed through an abridged version of Freeze's plan- omitting her own role in it. She took advantage of his rapt attention by flirting with every word that passed her lips, using her gorgeous looks to her advantage. Robin was draw in as the villainess tantalized him, using the mood and their close proximity to enhance and increase his desire for her - and in turn the desire to kiss her.
Slowly she moved in closer, lording over him. Ivy leant in with lips pursed and her eyelids lowered seductively, waiting for him to reciprocate. Robin was at breaking point. He stared a long beat before abandoning Ivy, quickly turning to leave and go after Freeze- making the excuse so he could flee before his infatuation took him over once more.
However, Ivy was adaptive- and quicker. With the swiftness of a Venus Fly-Trap she grabbed Robin by the shoulder halting his retreat, stopping him dead in his tracks. She rode on her momentum, maintaining her come-hither body language and seductive tone to capitalize on his now-weak guard and raw attraction to her.

Robin reacted instinctively and turned to face Ivy to find her looming over him without a beat, keeping her sultry expression locked on; lids closed and lips wet. "One kiss," Ivy began intimately. Robin was struck like a deer in headlights, like when she seduced him in the factory. Ivy subtly slipped her other hand around his other shoulder and took hold of him like a lover. His momentary lapse in concentration allowed Ivy to literally pull him back into her charms.
Poison Ivy looked down at his lips with a yearning fixation. Swiftly, she removed her hand from his shoulder and drew a single finger over to his face, placing it on his cheek. Just one, to accentuate the innocence of her request. She grazed him delicately with the tip; a gentle and feather-like touch on cheek, close to his lips.

Ivy proceeded, addressing Robin as "My love". She brought another two fingers to join her index finger in effort to further tempt him, gliding and teasing the edge of his face with her elegantly-painted nails. She lifted her gaze from his lips and looked into his frozen, staring eyes.
"For luck," she finished with a soft whisper. Poison Ivy let her words trail off into silence before smiling at Robin seductively. Her coup de grâce. Robin was trapped, imprisoned by Ivy's seduction, like before in his previous encounters with her. Ivy held Robin's gaze for a few moments.
Ivy turned her head, batting her eyelids at him for good measure. She readjusted her grip on Robin and placed her right hand on his face as Robin quietly turned his own head. With a final breath, she lowered her eyelids and leaned in.
Ivy languidly sank towards Robin while Robin in turn followed suit. She was met with no resistance and no interruption this time. Ivy smiled with great satisfaction and averted her eyes in knowing glee as Robin arched his head and his lips met hers. She curled her lips against Robin's and closed her eyes.
Poison Ivy kissed Robin fully and eagerly for few moments. As they kissed, bit-by-bit her seductive, passionate façade dwindled and her expression became slowly "sympathetic".
