Shadow World is a place where sorcery and science co-exist.
There are many races that inhabit the planet. Some are ancient and barbaric while others have risen above, almost to the stars themselves.
War is constant. Slavery exists. Chaos swirls about the planet.
The Barbaric races: These include man, orcs, vampyes, lycans, and others of the dark races. They rely on the sword and the axe as their primary weapons. They rarely use the weapons of the High Clans because once they deplete them they have no way to reload or recharge them.
They far outnumber the High Clans. Many a High Clan sky ship has gone down disabled only to eventually be overun.
The High Clans: These are the races of man that have mastered sorcery and/or science. They prefer to use their sky ships for transportation over great distances, and for commerce between cities.
They are skilled with the sword. The blades being made of the strongest metals and some are even enchanted.
The High Clans also have developed single shot energy tubes that require time to recharge and "needlers". Weapons that fire tiny sharp projectiles that can pierce even the strongest of armor.
