In 1999, the sixth great Malestorm exploded across the Shadowlands. It ravaged Stygia, the dark kingdom of Jade, the Dark kingdom of Sands, and the Dark kingdom of Wire. The latter was sent to the Atrocity realm.
The storm awoke Grandmother, and she melded with it increasing its power. In the Skinlands, thousands of Spectres ravaged across destroying ghosts by the millions. The shroud strenthened and the dead could no longer cross into the Deadlands. So they waited...
Then in 2000, a company called Orpheus began sending people across the new frontier; death. They were called projectors. But Orpheus was destroyed; its members scattered to the far winds...
Four projectors became involved in a brewing Spectre invasion of the Skinlands. They have been fighting and hiding until the current time. Now ghosts themselves: they now realise that they have to take the fight across the stormwall and win or all is lost...
Will they and their new allies be able to defeat Grandmother and her vast armies of spectres?
