Xander Harris

Alexander LaVelle Harris, the funny man of the Scooby gang. Born and raised in Sunnydale, He was never much of a student and so decided to follow his fellow scoobys and join UC Sunnydale. Instead his failed attempt to visit every state in America ended with him working at a strip club washing dishes and when he retuned home, bartending, and then to a more successful job in construction. Xander has been best friends with Willow since his youth and keeps pursuing the wrong women. He got the "we're just friends" from Buffy early on in their relationship, nearly became a snack for a she-mantis teacher, fell for an Incan mummy, and by kissing Willow, he ended up cheating on the one solid love interest that he had in high school, Cordelia. At one point he even had a quickie with unstable and bloodthirsty Slayer Faith. Xander's luck turned when he met former vengeance demon Anya. Xander proposed to Anya and she accepted. Unfortunately, after reflecting on his parents' troubled relationship, Xander realized he wasn't ready to devote himself entirely to Anya. The day of their wedding, he left his bride-to-be at the alter. Anya was broken hearted so devastated that she returned to her old vengeance-demon ways. Xander was on hand when Warren shot Buffy and Tara, and his moving declaration of love and eternal friendship for Willow finally brought her back from the brink of destroying the world. Xander saved the world in the simplest, yet most powerful way, through love and devotion to his friend.
