The tomato, a classic, was thought unbeatable for years, because not only is throwing food a must, but a tomato will splat, making a mess. However, times have changed, and the public nowadays is much more sympathetic to janitors. Aside from this, a tomato will not really hurt the person, and many people these days are bored to the point of violence and have no options. That is where I come in.
The solution to this problem lies in the choice and the preparation. One simply harvests or buys a few small acorn squash, and roasts them. When this has been completed, the squash will be the perfect shape and size to hold in one hand, and to throw accurately. Plus, acorn squash have much more heft and are much harder than tomatoes, so one can be assured that the speaker will remain quiet for some time.
Properly prepared acorn squash are also very useful for self-defense.
