Review
Jin-Roh is excellent. . .It has one of the deepest stories I have ever seen in a movie (live action or anime). The story moves quite slow (it’s so long) so some may lose interest. But if you like dramas, you’ll love Jin-Roh. As far as action goes there is very little, if you don’t expect a lot you won’t be disappointed. The animation is good, very fluid and realistic. Not your usual anime look, but I like it. The music is wonderful and really sets the mood. My only small gripe is that I think they take the “Little Red Riding Hood” thing a little bit too far, but it’s forgivable. And now I must leave you with this. . .“This thing is like a wolf…This thing is a wolf…Therefore it is a thing to be banished.”
Overall:
9.5 (Story is flawless) / If you’ve been searching for an anime with a great story, this is the one you’ve been waiting for…Or simply check out any of Hayao Miyazaki’s work.
