Ninja Lo0ting and Lo0t Whores!

We all know them: The NINJALO0TERS... we avoid them, we trust them, we're screwed by them. And now, YOU CAN BE ONE TO0!

Gothy's Guide To Ninja Lo0ting!
Note: This is not an invitation to be an asshole to your teammates, guildmembers, raidmembers, or whoever else you're with while getting PHAT LEWT. Actual ninja's are severly frowned upon by Gothy and her batallion of leets. Time to start of with the basics!

1. The Gear

You can't, there is simply no way in hell, ninja lo0t without the proper gear to do it! You will need:

-3+ BACKPACKS (to hold j0r lo0t)
-1 LOCKPICK
-450 B&E

You don't necessarily need 450 B&E; especially if you either lack the IP or are under TL5. Once you have the spare IP (believe me, you will) Bump up B&E to 450 and pop ANY chest or do0r with one try. You don't need 450 to pop chests; but you will be there for a few minutes if you don't have enough with a shit load of "Lockpicking failed..." spam on your screen. I myself carry 4 backpacks on me when I decide to lo0t. I'd say a go0d way to farm is carrying around 5 bags, assuring you atleast 2mil for your efforts. You WILL need to fill these bags.

2. Lo0ting while in a (team) mission

We all know that missions, while not holding really FUBAR lewt, have some decent things to sell to the vendor, at the least. The first and formost thing to remember, that lots of our ninja friends forget, is that people can die because you're a lo0t whore. So lets be nice, and lo0t after the 213 Ace Ruffian falls before clicking that trapped chest, okay? :D

WHAT TO LO0T:

-ARMOR
-WEAPONS
-JEWELRY
-GOLD/GEMS/STONES
-NANOCRYSTALS (especially Animas)
-BATTLESUITS
If you're hellbent on getting a go0d 5mil a miss, you need to buy atleast 5 backpacks to store all the PHAT LEWT you ninja. You can get a go0d amount of money for picking up random things while missioning, long as they are the right item.

3. Item's worth BIG MONEY

Unfortunatly there aren't many items, let alone many OF that item, in missions worth a very pretty penny. An average item ql200 of one of the previous mentioned will give you 40-120k at a go0d vendor (a NPC, or health shop) with about 800+ computer literacy. However, certain items will give you upwards of 400-600k PER ITEM. Those items would be the Augumented Battlesuits, Anima nanos, and Anima discs. You can get well over a few mill without these items, but they make getting there a lot easier. If you don't have 800+ computer literacy, your credit return for your items will be less depending on what you have. An Anima at 100 computer literacy will DEFINATLY not sell for nearly as much as someone with 800. Computer literacy defines the prices you recieve as well. The higher your Computer Literacy, the lower the prices in shops. At level 180 or so, with 852 CL, I found a yalm in a shop with VA Req 89, for 3.9mil. A very welcome surprise. My other char, which I went onto to buy it, had 230 or so, and found the price to be 4.9mil. All items can be worth well over 50k; it simply depends on how much you wish to inflate your computer literature.

4. Lo0ting in a solo mission

Unless you can solo or blitz around ql200 missions, I would not suggest this. Items slightly lower then ql200 will give you around the same amount of money, but at the speed one works in these missions is simply not really worth it. Not to mention the xp normally sucks. If you're a calming proffession: This is certainly a different case for you. You can simply calm your way through the entire mission in minutes; lo0ting everything that's not tied down; hell you would loot the boxes the items came in if FC would only allow you to. Now the next thing these missions are go0d for is farming Animas. Blitz a miss for an Anima, and do it a lot. VERY time consuming, but VERY rewarding.

5. How to get the most for what you've lo0ted

I've mentioned previously two things: The higher Comp Lit, the better, and to sell to an NPC or a Health shop. If (especially if you've farmed Animas) you've got some really go0d stuff to sell, and a LOT of it, it would be best if you used comp lit expertise (and for traders whatever buffs they have) and implanted as much CL as possible, and sold them to the shops. You will recieve a go0d precentage more than if you hadn't implanted. Certain things you can SELL TO PLAYERS that are worth a go0d amount as well. Any well used armor or armor that can be made into CAS or Carb, will sell to a player at ql200 for 500-600k a piece depending on how desirable they are. Notum Fragments ql200 sell for 300k+, and Soul Fragments (Which used to be worth 20mil >[) now sell for 3-5mil.

6. Lastly, NINJA ETIQUETTE

It's important to remember while you're lo0ting in a team situation that you are in a TEAM, and that everything you lo0t may be desired by a team member. If someone asks you for something and it's not something you DESPERATLY NEED, you should probably just give it to them out of kindness, seeing as you have 90% of the lo0t anyway. Anothing thing to remember: (especially at lower levels it seems) is if you lo0t the entire boss, GIVE THE LO0T TO THOSE WHO ASK FOR IT. Lo0ting the entire boss is in my opinion simply tacky, taking more than 3-4 items is simply rude, and running off with all the boss lo0t (regardless of how crappy it is) just makes everyone mad, especially after you've gone through the entire mission getting all the go0d stuff. Be nice, these are your teammates! During battles, unless you are or know there is a go0d calmer, do NOT lo0t chests, because rats are not welcome during a fight! You can easily get someone killed with a roller rat, or a chest bomb. Be polite, and wait until the mob is atleast at 2 or less bars before opening the bugged chests. :) Happy Ninjaing!

Best things about Ninjaing:

  • Pissing people off
  • PHAT LEWT
  • Money
