VEDA NARGUL NARDICUM
03.05.2001
Veda is a Central Asian Ovtcharka, also known as Central/Middle Asian Shepherd. She was born in Aizpute, Latvia. Her family tree can be traced back to the Soviet Military Red Star Kennel. For over 4000 years this breed has protected the sheep of Central Asia from wolves and mountain lions. These dogs are stubborn, independent, and nocturnal, and so is Veda. The only predator she has met so far is Erin's toy monkey, who did not stand a chance.

Traditionally they crop the ears and tails of this dog in Russia. As you can see, Grandpa Vampire has nice cropped ears, but Veda has big floppy ones. Apparently, Veda's breeder felt Veda wouldn't have to do battle with wolves and mountain lions.
