The most I can say for myself right now is...I'm being myself. The best place to start is from the beginning. Well, I my first guitar was given to me by my father when I was about..10 or 11 years old. I learned the basics like how to read music, and the notes on the guitar and such. The real interest in music never came to me until about 3 years ago when I was 13. My mother bought me my first acoustic guitar, which I still own to this day. I began taking more lessons, closer to home.
The next challenge in my life was at hand (high school) and the music program was fairly good. I took instrumental music, and learned how to play the tenor and alto sax, and a few percussion intstruments. Grade 10, my second year was a breeze but this time, it was to furthur enhance my voice in Vocal Music class. Since I was a master at the notes and keys and the "theoretical music", it was not a very difficult course. I just got to practice singing everyday. I started learning notes on the keyboard and was practicing them more often. I had gotten another guitar the year before. This one also electric. A new family member.
The writing begins! Throughout my early highschool years, I began writing some of my own songs. Some have come and gone, but others have stayed with me. I've enhanced them, recorded them, and played them many times. I'm now starting to utelise other instruments and timings into my guitar music to enhance the feeling of the music more than the sounding of the music. More to come as my destiny continues!
