Chapter 80
Her body was warm and welcoming as he pressed into her. His hands held her as if she would float away. He felt her fingers dancing across his heated flesh; her heart beat racing with his; her legs wrapped around his body. He couldn’t get enough of her. Her voice, like a siren’s call, was pulling him deeper into her spell. He thrust deep, felt her spasms, and exploded inside her.
Spent, AJ lay with his arms wrapped around her, his finger tracing the lines of sweat on her body. He knew he should be angry but her pure, honest love that was so plain in her eyes when she looked at him told him he was the one she truly wanted.
“Tell me about your trip,” he prompted.
As he caressed her body, Chelsea told him every detail, not omitting a single thing.
“I wish I had gone with you now. I don’t EVER want you to have to face disappointing news alone again or be afraid to tell me either.”
Running her finger down his chest, “I won’t be afraid any more. Alex, your love and understanding made me realize that we can face anything together.”
“Yeah, we can.”
Hearing movement next door, Chelsea said, “I hope Dianne will forgive Kevin.”
“I think she will. We talked about it a lot yesterday and I told her that I was going to forgive you…that I really wasn’t all that mad at you in the first place.”
“Did she tell you she was pregnant?”
“No, she didn’t.”
“Kevin told me last night before we flew back.”
Alex was quiet for a minute, then said, “Chels, it hurt a lot knowing you had turned to Kevin and wouldn’t tell me why you were upset.”
“I won’t ever make that mistake again…I promise.”
“I know.”
“Why did you forgive me so easily?”
“Howie and I talked yesterday after Dianne called to tell me about the divorce and he pointed out to me that you and Kevin really didn’t have any closure to your relationship. Then, I got to thinking about the way you look at me when we’re together…it’s like I hung the moon.”
“You did, didn’t you?” she smiled up at him.
AJ laughed, “Only in your eyes, ‘Beautiful’, and when you walked in last night, I saw that same look in your eyes. I have never questioned your feelings for me.”
“Even when I was with Kevin, you were the one I really wanted. I knew one day I’d catch you between women and I knew that if you’d just give me a chance, we’d fall in love. I never really felt like a fan because Kevin and Marcus had told me so much about you.”
“Catch me between women?” questioned AJ, his eyebrows raised.
“Uh huh,” giggled Chelsea.
“Am I that bad?”
“Not anymore! You’re TAKEN now,” she stated and kissed him.
The phone rang as AJ rolled her onto her back and he reached to answer it. “Yo! You’re interrupting so this had better be good…..not really, Nick…..okay…we’re getting up now….that too, dawg….see you in thirty.”
“What did Nick want?”
“To remind me that we’re supposed to meet for brunch and then an interview. I just want to stay right here and make love to you all day!” he pouted. “Woman, you are to NEVER leave me again! I HAVE to have you by my side every night so I can hold you.”
“I like the sound of that,” smiled Chelsea. “Can I go with you to the interview?”
“Definitely.” As the couple got up to get ready, AJ said, “Get your stuff together, baby. We have to check out when we leave.”
“But isn’t the show here in the hotel?”
“Yeah, it is but we still have to be out of the room.”
Chelsea moved to her bags to get something to wear. “Crap!”
Pulling on a pair of jeans, Alex asked, “What’s wrong?”
“My phone is dead and I need to make a couple calls.”
“You can charge it on the bus and use mine,” offered AJ. Looking over her shoulder, he said, “Baby, you need a new one anyway. That thing is ANCIENT!”
“It works fine for me,” she said indignantly. “Besides, it was all I could afford.”
Putting his arms around her waist, he said, “It’s cool, baby,” but he was thinking at the same time that he was going to get her a new one after adding her to his plan. “Now, get dressed you tramp! I swear….you’re always walking around without any clothes on. What am I going to do with you?”
Chelsea laughed, “Make love to me!! Besides, it’s your fault I’m always naked. You make me horny with that sexy body…all covered with tats…and your eyes!!”
AJ kissed her on the cheek and they got ready.
